Not His Type Of Mate

Chapter 105

Alpha Leo's POV

A droplet of tears fell on my cheek as the call came to an end, but then the tracking device had gotten the location of the call.

"Where was the call made?" Maddison asked the computer guru, who was still typing on his system.

Anger and rage surged through me, and I could feel my wolf howling. Heaven knows what I would do to him once I lay my hands on him. How dare him, how dare him... "The location is China."

"China!" Both Maddison and I yelled.

"Yes, it's in a small town called Tia'an," he said, causing me to run my fingers through my hair.

"That's almost thirteen hours' flight from here," Lord Maddison spoke with a sigh. "I wonder what he would have done to her before we get there."

"Damn it!" I groaned and hit the wall with my fist.

A series of emotions boiled within me, and I had to take a deep breath to control myself.

"We can't waste any more time," I said firmly, my voice regaining its composure. "We need to gather our team, make the necessary arrangements for travel, and devise a plan to infiltrate Tia'an." I said, and Maddison nodded. "I have contacts in China. I'll reach out to them immediately," he said and walked out of the room, while I paced around with thoughts buzzing in my head.

My mind was filled with Nora. I wondered what she might be going through in the hands of that bastard, and the thought of her forced to perform such degrading acts made my blood boil with anger and rage.

In order to compose myself, I walked to the bar, took out a bottle of whiskey, and gulped a large quantity into my mouth.

I leaned against the bar, gripping the bottle tightly, trying to gather my thoughts amidst the chaos that consumed me. Nora was in danger, and I couldn't bear the thought of her suffering at the hands of that vile man. Every fiber of my being yearned to be by her side, to protect her, to unleash my wrath upon her captor. I knew time was of the essence, and the urgency to rescue her fueled my determination.

As I took another swig from the bottle, memories of our time together flooded my mind. The gentle touch of her hand, the warmth of her smile, and the way her laughter danced through the air-those memories were the lifeline that kept me going.

With another sigh, I gulped a large quantity into my mouth and thought of what to do. I wanted to make a mind link to some trusted alphas. Probably one might know an alpha in China, but then I don't know whom to trust.

A knock came on the door, and Jayson walked in. "Maxwell, the brother of Nora is here," Jayson announced, causing me to sigh and nod.

I could see Jayson's worried gaze on me as he stared at my pitiful state. "You have to take it easy," he said, getting me furious.

"How can I? Do you know what she's going through in the hands of that bastard!? I yelled in anger and slammed the bottle on the ground, but Jayson didn't flinch.

With a groan, I walked out of the room, took the stairs to the sitting room, and met not just Maxwell, as Jayson informed, but rather Nora's entire family.

I stared at each of them as I descended the stairs, and finally, my gaze met with Vera. She held my gaze for a moment and looked away.

"Greetings Alpha," they all greeted, and I nodded and took the one-seater couch beside Maddison.

"Please sit," I gestured, and they did.

They all remained silent until Mr. Edwin, Nora's father, spoke. "We came to see if there is any news about her yet, and if we could help in any way."

Madison scoffed bitterly and stood to his feet. "You want to help?" he asked bitterly, "Why do you all act like you care for her now, huh?" he asked, glaring at the father, then at her mother. "Apart from Maxwell, none of you saw her as a family. You showed her nothing but pain, and here you are acting like you love her, ridiculous." He scoffed and walked out.

With a sigh, I tiredly massaged my forehead, hoping it would ease the constant ache I've been having, while everyone remained silent, waiting for me to speak.

After taking a deep breath, I spoke. "The kidnappers called."

"How is she? Did you hear her voice?" Mrs. Edwin asked, concerned.

"Yes, she's still alive," I announced and saw them release a sigh of relief. "Don't worry, she will be fine. You all should just go home and pray, that's all," I said while getting on my feet.

"I want to help, please fix me somewhere." Maxwell, Nora's brother, pleaded as he stood to his feet.

I stared at him for a moment, monitoring his body features. He looks very healthy and seems he has been doing lots of workouts.

"What are your abilities?" I asked, and he quickly responded. "I have the gift of speed," he responded, and I hummed, "how many minutes' difference?" I asked because the gift of speed differs.

"A task that takes others one hour to be done, I can do it in fifteen minutes," he explained. I nodded and thought for a moment before saying, "Then stay, your help will be greatly needed," I said and flashed a grateful smile.

"The rest of you should go home. Nora will be back soon," I said and saw them nod.

I turned and started to go up the stairs, but Vera called me back. "Can I have a moment with you, please?" she pleaded, causing me to turn and hold her gaze while the members of her family left the sitting room.

"Yes?" I asked and saw her take a deep breath before speaking. "I'm sorry for all that happened in the past. I hope you will forgive me someday," she apologized sincerely, and I didn't need a soothsayer to know that she was truly sorry.

"You don't have to apologize. I was also at fault. If I hadn't approached you and made such silly plans with you, then all that happened wouldn't have," I said, and saw her gulp. "Maybe you could still have a chance with Nora if I hadn't deceived you into..." she paused, and I knew what she meant.

"All that is in the past, and besides, I lost Nora the very day I rejected her," I said and turned to leave, but then I looked back at her. "Vera, you have to forgive yourself and move on," I said and saw a droplet of tears fall on her cheek. "I wish you luck in your healing process." With those words, I turned and left.

Just as I was about to enter my room, I saw Madison walk up to me. "The jet is ready. We will be taking off in twenty minutes from now," he announced, and I nodded and entered my room.

After a thirteen-hour flight, we got out of the jet and entered one of the cars that was already waiting for us. I checked the time and realized it was 10 PM here in China, which was good because we needed to operate in the dark.

"It's just a thirty-minute drive, and we will be in Tai'an," the driver announced, and I nodded. Madison, who sat beside me, was checking and cracking the guns in his hand. Merely looking at him, I could see that he was furious and just couldn't wait to lay his hands on Lorenzo.

With a sigh, I took a deep breath and closed my eyes to calm my mind. "What are you thinking?" Ethan asked. "Nothing!" I lied.

"She will be fine. Just take a deep breath," he urged, and I did as instructed. Although I was unable to feel her pain or emotions due to the spell placed on her, deep down, I could sense that she was going through a lot. I wondered how disappointed she would feel, knowing it's been almost four days and we haven't rescued her.

As we reached the small town of Tai'an, the tension in the car became palpable. The drivers parked the cars a few blocks away from the suspected location, ensuring our arrival would go unnoticed. We all stepped out of the vehicles, each of us wearing dark clothing.

As we made our way towards the abandoned building where Nora was believed to be held captive, I couldn't help but feel a mix of anger and rage coursing through my veins. All I wanted was to get hold of him.

As we reached the entrance, Maddison motioned for us to halt. He peered around the corner, assessing the situation inside. His eyes briefly met mine, conveying a silent message that we needed to proceed with caution. We couldn't afford to make any mistake. With a nod from Maddison, we breached the entrance, moving swiftly and silently. The sounds of our footsteps were muffled by the intensity of the moment. We carefully made our way through the building, checking every room and corridor, searching for any sign of Nora.

We continued searching, but then I noticed something odd: there was not a single man in the two-story building, which was unusual. Maddison and I kept searching all the rooms until we entered a room that was filled with the unmistakable scent of Nora. "Shit," Madison groaned and punched the wall.

Moving my gaze around, I saw an abandoned plate of food that was probably given to Nora, but she refused to eat it.

Her scent lingered in the air, informing us that she hadn't left this room long ago. "Damn it!" I groaned and roughly ran my fingers through my hair.

Maxwell and the ten other men met us in the room, and by the look in their eyes, they found nothing.

Just as we were all lost in our thoughts, Maddison's phone rang, and he showed it to me to see that it was a private number.

With a deep breath, Maddison picked it up and placed it on loudspeaker. The first thing we heard when the call was picked up was loud laughter from Lorenzo. He continued laughing while I clenched my fist with rage.

The laughter echoed through the room, fueling my anger and rage. Maddison's face hardened, his jaw clenched tightly as he listened to the vile man taunting us.

"Looking for your precious mate, are you? I must say, she's been quite entertaining. Such a feisty little thing."

I gritted my teeth, my knuckles turning white as I clenched my fists. The urge to rip Lorenzo apart surged within me, but I forced myself to remain composed. This was a battle that required strategy and precision. "Where is she, Lorenzo?" Maddison growled, his voice laced with anger. "What have you done to her?"

Lorenzo chuckled, angering me even more. "Oh, she's safe, for now. But how long can she hold on, I wonder? Such a fragile little flower." I gritted my teeth but didn't say a word.

"You think you could get me so easily, Maddison, huh?" He scoffed. "I have been hatching the plans for more than two years now, and you think you could get me just like that?" He scoffed and chuckled loudly. "You bastard, I will kill you," Maddison yelled, while I remained silent.

"You knew, Maddison. You knew Gracie was going to leave you once she gave birth to your child, so when you found out, you killed her."

"Lies, that is not true. Gracie was never going to leave me. You are sick," Maddison yelled.

"I'm not sick, I'm perfectly fine. Gracie was never happy in that marriage. She only married you because you were her mate, but her heart belongs to me. She loves me and had promised she would leave you once she gives birth to your child. But I believe you knew and planned her death!" Lorenzo yelled over the phone, while Maddison remained quiet as tears uncontrollably fell on his cheek. I knew he wasn't just crying because of being accused of killing Gracie, but he was hurt as he realized that Gracie was never really in love with him like we all thought.

"Get ready, Maddison. The call you will be getting from me is a video call of me anally fucking your mate." He yelled and ended the call, sending a chilly wave down my spine.
