The Elemental Sisters: Spirit

Chapter Chapter Nineteen (Tyr)

I looked down at the beautiful woman asleep in my arms; I had every intention of putting her down to let her rest, but I couldn't bring myself to leave her.

She started moving around again in her sleep, her towel slipping down, revealing her back as she turned in my arms. I noticed intricate designs shaping into wings which filled her back. What looked like diamonds were embedded in her skin, making the details of her wings stand out, grey and white swirls filled in the wings, hypnotizing me. I brushed the hair off her shoulder and looked at the stars that lined the top half of her shoulder leading up onto her neck. They had the same diamonds in them, but they also had other colored gems as well.

I covered her back when she shivered, pulling her closer to me.

Ari walked into the room and crossed her arms over her chest, "wake her up." She demanded.

"Why?" I asked, confused.

"We have to fight Taoen tomorrow. She needs to train, and she still needs to tell us about this blasted vision so we can figure it out before she has another one."

I sighed, "fine."

I had seen the vision as well, and it was not one; I cared to repeat, if they could figure out what it meant maybe it could prevent her from having another one it would be worth bothering her now.

I shook her shoulder. "Akasha, wake up."

"Fuck off." She mumbled as I chuckled.

"Wake up or I will make you." Ari yelled at her. She stirred, but refused to get up.

Ari stomped over and ripped the blankets off of her. "Wake up or I will take the other blanket next," she threatened with a smirk.

"Leave me alone, my head hurts."

"Get over it." She snapped.

Akasha sat up and glared in her direction, yet her eyes were still fully white, and I doubted she could see anything.

"What am I supposed to do, blind?" she bit out angrily.

"If your visions are going to keep coming then, maybe you should train blind, you know as well as I do that eventually your vision won't come back at all, so start training now." "You don't have to remind me." She bit out.

"She will go completely blind?" I asked, confused. It made sense for her to train to fight without having her sight in either case, but that would be terrifying.

"Yes." Ari snapped as Akasha stood and the towel fell to the floor. My jaw dropped, and Ari snickered. "Well, someone is happy." Catching my reaction.

Akasha turned red and went to pick up the towel, "I got it." I jumped up in a panic as Ari laughed harder.

"You two are hilarious." She snickered as she left the room.

"Stupid bitch." Akasha mumbled when I handed her the blanket, and she wrapped it around herself. Hands out, she looked for the dresser. When she reached it, she rummaged through, looking for something to wear.

"Those are my clothes." Gia scolded as she walked into the room.

"Really? Like help a sister out." Akasha muttered.

"I am." She threw a red dress at Akasha, and it landed on her head.

"Thanks." she told her, sounding muffled.

Gia shook her head, "You can help her." She winked at me before she turned and left the room.

"You guys are strange sometimes." I pointed out as I watched her fight with the dress.

"Yeah... well... That's siblings for you." She muttered as she struggled to put on the garment.

Smiling, I walked over to her and helped her get the dress on. Luckily the dress was simple, not like some dresses the other women in the court wear, those seemed like puzzles that took forever to figure out, created to piss off men. "Thank you." She smiled, her face still red as she reached towards me, I reached out and took her hand.

"My vision should be back soon." She frowned as we joined the others in the main room.

"Awe look at the cute couple." Frey teased, as he pulled Ari to him, she frowned and hissed, "I already told you to back off."

"You don't have to worry about hurting me." He looked at her with a serious expression.

"You say that now."

"So, are we going to train or what?" Sunama asked.

"Yeah, no choice... right Ari?" Akasha snapped as she rubbed her temples.

"You got that right!"

"First, you need to tell us about your vision." Gia interjected.

Akasha sighed, "Fine. King Churd and Prince Rehan are looking for the Key and they think we have it or know where it is, or they are." She shared. "What key?" Frey asked.

"The person who can open the gate to the human realm. We are supposed to find and protect it. It is our job as the elemental sisters." Sunama informed.

"Something else is bothering me though, aside from the King having elemental abilities. I don't think Prince Rehan does, and I told him if he hurt me, she would never forgive him, but I do not know who she is."

I looked at Ari, who had pulled out a notebook and was writing down everything Akasha was saying, with a surprisingly girly pen it has pink feathers attached to it.

She caught me looking at her and asked, "What is your silly grin about Prince Tyr?"

"Sorry, I didn't expect you to have such a girly object." I nodded at the pen as she stuck out her tongue out at me and continued writing. "Please, just call me Tyr." I frowned. I hated when people used my title.

Frey grinned, "She has a lot of girly things she hides." As Ari slapped him playfully, mouthing "Shut up." at him.

"Anything else?" she asked, looking at Akasha.

Akasha shook her head, "No, I don't think so."

I frowned, knowing that was not all, but didn't say anything when I heard her thoughts. "Please don't tell them the rest. There is nothing they can do about it, anyway."

"Fine, but we will talk about this." I thought back to her.

"Okay, well, let's head out." Ari shoved the book in her bag and headed for the door.

"Come on, when Akasha is incapacitated, I am boss." She glared.

"I am not incapacitated, just temporarily out of order." Akasha defended.

"Means the same thing, sweetheart," Ezryn informed.

I went with them, seeing as Colonel Delano had escaped; I wanted to make sure they were properly protected. Getting to the training area was a little difficult as Akasha stumbled more than a few times, not used to finding her way without her sight.

"Okay now, what genius?" Akasha asked Ari when we finally made it to the training area.

"Now we attack you and you defend."

"Lovely. I think you just want to beat me up." She accused, raising her brows.

"Maybe." Ari chuckled as she put her hair up with a ribbon, so it was out of her face.

"Ready?" Gia asked as her sisters surrounded her.

"No." Akasha moved into a fighting stance, muttering, "this is going to go badly." Under her breath.

"Focus on what you can hear." Sunama put in helpfully.

"I know," she bit out.

Ari smiled as she punched Akasha, landing one on her cheek, making her head jerk to the side.

"Really, I have a fucken headache already, Ari." She sneered as she spit blood.

"It's all fair when we are training. You know that." she shrugged.

"Yeah, I know. Doesn't mean I have to be happy about it."

Sunama attacked next, dropping down to knock Akasha's feet out from under her, but Akasha jumped back, dodging the blow.

The sisters each took turns fighting Akasha, she dodged some of the time but in the end took a beating, about an hour into it, they took a water break. Akasha laid down on the grass, downing water from her canteen. "You shouldn't drink laying down." I pointed out, walking over to her.

"Yeah, I know." She muttered as she squinted the white finally clearing from her eyes. "Fuck it's bright."

I chuckled as I sat down beside her. "I'm glad it came back."

"Me too kind of hard to protect your sisters if you can't see anything, if they trained me to fight without my sight, that would be different, but I am not that talented."

"You could have used your spirits, couldn't you?"

"I could have, but seeing as Ela and Karm aren't around at the moment, I would take a risk asking the spirits for help."

"Why?"

"Because dark spirits can have an adverse effect on my abilities. When I use them, I am absorbing a part of them and if that part has ill intent, my abilities will have as well, and it makes the spirits harder to control. If I am not careful, they could take over my body completely. That is why I usually only work with Ela and Karm."

"Where are they?"

"Probably out scouting." Or doing couple stuff. She finished in her head.

"It's something we can work on together." I offered, we had a couple soldiers who were completely blind and were the best fighters in our army. They would make skilled teachers.

"That would be great. I don't think my sisters wanted to teach me anything. I think they just had fun beating me up." She glared in their direction. Ari was arguing with Frey and Sunama and Huricana were talking to Ezryn. "It is a possibility." I laughed.

"No, it's the truth." Gia added, making us jump.

"Gia, why do you do always do that?" Akasha accused her.

"It's fun," she retorted, sitting next to her sister, giggling.

I looked up at the sun, gauging the time, "We should head back soon, it is getting late." I shared.

"Agreed, I am tired, and we should get a good rest before the battle tomorrow." Akasha shared.

Getting up, I gathered the weapons and things that laid strewn onto the field before the sisters, and I headed back with the guards.
