Chapter Chapter Twenty-Two (Akasha)
Smiling, I followed Tyr to my room, "Won't your father have an issue with this?" I asked as he took his shoes and socks off, he sat on the bed and removed his shirt, leaving just his pants. "Why would it matter?" he asked.
"It doesn't." I answered, distracted, as he stood up and walked towards me. I looked up at him as he towered over me.
I looked down, avoiding his gaze; he stopped in front of me and gently tilted my face to look at his. "Why would it matter?" he asked again, his green eyes piercing into mine.
I shuffled uncomfortably as I answered, "Isn't there a law against royalty and peasants?"
"First off, you are no peasant and second, what they think doesn't matter to me never did."
I was doubtful. Who knew how many women he has shown an interest in? I could just be the next notch on his bedpost?
He frowned at me, "Shit, you heard that, didn't you?" I questioned.
He moved away from me and sat on the bed, "I did, but to be perfectly honest with you, I am not exactly a lady's man." He chuckled, "because my father has denied me the throne, women stay away from me thinking I have offended the king or harmed the kingdom. They do this to justify my father's treatment of me."
Stupid women, how could they not want him? I wanted him. I moved closer to him.
"Your brother and father are stupid to treat you that way. The best leaders are the ones that can protect what they have with their own two hands and not with people they can order around. You have your own men that are loyal to you, and you are a powerful warrior. Women would be stupid to not want you."
"Thanks, but honestly, I couldn't care less about other women fawning over me. There is only one I want." He stated as he reached toward me, pulling me to him resting his hands on my hips. "I am sorry if my half-brother made you uncomfortable."
"You have nothing to apologize for. I don't like him. His aura is wrong; besides, I can handle myself." I replied breathlessly.
"I don't want to talk about my messed-up family right now. Although you being able to handle yourself is one thing that drew me to you, you're a fierce strong leader and very smart." he smirked.
I smiled, "Well, I try. Obviously, I..." Tyr pulled me into his lap and his lips met mine and all train of thought was lost as his tongue explored my mouth and his hands slipped to the front of my dress, he undid the tie and stood up pulling my dress from me leaving me in my shift, my heart was beating a mile a minute as his hungry stare swept over me.
"You know it's rude to interrupt someone." I teased.
"Is it, now?" he asked as he scooped me up and stood carrying me to the head of the bed laying me down as he knelt over me kissing my neck down to my chest, his hands pushing the hem of my shift up. His hand moved up my leg to my thigh, I wanted to touch him and explore this with him, but I couldn't, not yet. I pushed him off me and sat up, "My sisters are in the next room. Tyr I can't."
He looked at me and smiled, "I know, but it doesn't mean we can't explore each other." He replied as he reached for me, brushing his thumb across my lip before leaning down and biting my lip. My body reacted, and I cursed him for being so damn sexy, his braided hair falling over his shoulder as he looked at me with mischief in his eyes.
"You are the devil!" I scolded him.
"No, just bewitched by you." He teased as he pulled me into his arms, and I could feel his erection pressing into my belly.
Fighting my arousal and my instincts I hissed, "They could hear us." under my breath, wishing I could just forgo all responsibility and have what I really wanted.
He sighed and looked at me, a little disappointed, "Okay, I won't ever force you into something you don't want, Akasha." He kissed my cheek and wrapped his arms around me and pulled me to him as he laid down next to me.
My fingers traced the outlines of his muscles and the scars that seemed to cover his body. Without thinking, I kissed his scars, moving over him as I kissed up his body to his neck.
"Akasha?" he asked as I pulled away.
"What?"
"I thought you didn't want your sisters to hear?" he teased as he placed his hands on my waist, pulling me onto him.
"Maybe I changed my mind." I teased. As I kissed him again. Why should I have to be the responsible one?
His hands went to my shoulders as he slid the shift down, revealing my breasts, he looked at me with hunger in his eyes as he flipped me onto my back; his hands on either side of my body as he kissed my neck, tingles coursed through me as he moved lower, cupping one of breasts and pinching my nipple. A moan escaped my lips when his mouth replaced his hand. His hand moved under my shift, sliding up my thigh, he pulled away to look at me, "Do you want me to stop?" he asked, his eyes fixed on mine.
"No, I don't." I whispered as I placed my hand on the back of his neck and pulled him to me, kissing him deeply.
His hands slid to my sex and for a split second I hesitated, knowing that any minute my sisters could walk into the room. When his finger entered me, all thought and reasoning left me, my hands explored his body as his finger slid in and out, he added another, and I moaned in pleasure, not wanting him to stop.
He pulled away from our kiss and gave me a sexy half grin as I reached for his pants and clumsily pulled at the ties and slid them down. His cock sprang free, and my hand wrapped around his hard length, I gulped a little uneasy about how big he was, a moan escaped from his lips as my thumb massaged the tip of his penis as my other hand ran up and down the length of it. In a frenzy, his lips met mine, and he bit my lip lightly, pulling on it. "Akasha?" I heard someone ask from the other side of the door.
I froze, "Fuck... it's Huricana." I pushed a frustrated Tyr off of me and threw the blanket over him as I stood and adjusted my shift before heading to the door.
"What's wrong?" I asked her as I opened the door.
She looked at me, fear in her eyes, "I had a nightmare."
"Seriously?" I asked, annoyed. "Why didn't you wake up Sunama? You two are in the same room."
Tears in her eyes, she looked at me and hugged me, "You... you were dead." She sobbed into my shift. I returned the hug and pulled away, smoothing the hair from her face.
"I am fine, don't worry, it was only a nightmare." I consoled her. Sometimes I forgot how young she really was and with everything going on, it made sense that she would be having nightmares, it was a little unnerving that the only other person to receive messages from the future saw my death.
"But what if..."
"You only get prophecies from listening to the wind, not dreams." I reminded her. "You should get some rest." I told her as I kissed her forehead.
She nodded and hugged me again before going back to her room. I turned back to my bed. Tyr was sitting watching me, a big grin on his face. "What?" I asked self conscious.
"You would be a wonderful mom." He smiled.
I burst out laughing.
"What?" He asked defensively.
I moved to sit beside him and looked at him, "I don't really see myself as a maternal type." I stated.
"Hmm, you will."
"If you say so." I laughed.
"Tomorrow you should stay with me in my quarters." He stated.
"And why is that?" I asked, narrowing my gaze at him.
"Privacy." He laughed as he pulled me to him.
"Let's just get through tomorrow first." I frowned as I rested my head on his chest, suddenly exhausted.
"Are you worried about tomorrow?" he asked as he played with my hair, which I found oddly relaxing.
I shook my head, "Not really, my sisters will be safe, so there isn't much to worry about." I answered as I leaned down and kissed him.
"How do you know you will be the one to fight Taoen?" he asked, studying my face.
"I am the oldest and so far in our training mock battles I usually win. Besides, there is no way I would let any of them face Taoen alone. If he is as unpredictable as they say, he could be dangerous to them, and I have an advantage." "And what's that?"
"I have my spirit form. If I were to die for any reason, I would still be here."
"How do you know that's how it would work?"
"Because that's how it has always worked with the spirit element wielders, and honestly, I am still waiting for my mother to show up."
"You think she survived?"
I shook my head. "No, I know she is dead, but her spirit is still here. All spirit wielders stay in this realm as ghosts or spirits and can communicate with others with the same elemental abilities. I can feel that she is still around, but right now, she feels far away. Being a spirit elemental is complicated because a lot of our abilities are not in what we can see or perceive, but in what we can't." I yawned as his arm tightened around me."
"Hmm, hopefully she finds you." When he laid back on the bed, I laid my head on his chest, getting comfy as he chuckled.
He rubbed my back absent-mindedly pulling me closer to him, his warmth and masculine scent were welcoming, his arm around me made me feel safe and at ease. Why did he feel so familiar to me?
I felt his chest rise and fall beneath me as I my mind drifted and before long I was falling asleep to the sound of his heartbeat.
