Alpha´s curvy bullied human mate

Chapter 30: Of humans and monsters

Nathaniel

"We've been attacked again!"

"They entered our territory as if it were nothing!"

"They left only blood and terror in their path!"

This was what most of the Alphas had to say about the rogue attacks. They hadn't all happened at the same time, but the frequency and the packs that had been attacked made one think that this was no coincidence. There was something hidden here, a plan against us.

"The rogues who attacked my pack were extremely organized... this was not their usual behavior," said Alpha Asher.

"There was no doubt in my mind that our enemy has done everything possible to manage the rogues... allied with the humans..." said Marco, very convinced. "What do humans have to do with it? we are talking about the bloody attacks!" said another Alpha.

"Humans are taking over more and more territory, logging and hunting, taking away the habitat of rogues! What if they are allies, what if they have an agreement? Humans are disloyal creatures... many here know that..." Marco said, looking at

me.

"The humans are also suffering... they have been attacked by wolves... the police themselves don't know what to do, and there are also disappearances," said Alpha Asher.

"We also know that they have kidnapped female wolves, humans, and other species as well. There are many cases of missing people, but none of this is normal. It's something that has never been heard of in this region," Roger said. Marco was about to interrupt him when I stopped him.

"We need to focus on who the enemy was behind this. I know we have all suffered attacks, and we're also tempted to blame the humans, but we have to get to the bottom of this as soon as possible. Someone is searching for our territories and packs, and we will not allow it!" I said firmly, feeling my power expand. I noticed that the other Alphas felt it as well.

Hunter was right-our mate had made us stronger. The men of the council watched us curiously. They were older Alphas who had already given up control of their packs but had dedicated themselves to serving our kind. "Alpha Nathaniel is right, we must investigate further."

"Yes, that's right! They won't take our territories!" said the others.

"It's quite right what the Alpha says. But what are we going to do about the problem at hand?" Marco stood up, determined. He looked at everyone, searching for fear in their eyes and using it.

"We have to act and make a decision together. We can investigate, but we have to act now! we are werewolves! We don't just sit back and hope for the best, we act! We are a superior species, therefore we must rule and decide what was best for everyone!" The rest showed their support behind his statement.

A superior species... I had also believed that some time ago. I had thought of rejecting Penelope simply because she was human. I had also supported that idea before... but now everything was different.

"Gentlemen! We have gathered to vote, and the Council is here for that," one of the members of the Council interrupted, and the vote continued. "That's right! Let's vote!"

"Let us decide what's best!" said others.

"All those in favor of us interfering in human affairs and moving forward with discussions to rule their territories, directly or indirectly... raise your hands," the man said, and to my horror, many more hands were raised than not. Marco looked at me, his eyes flicking from my hand to my face. He was smiling triumphantly.

“I think it's clear what the werewolf sentiment is. We must prevail and protect our people,” Marco said very satisfied.

"We must now look for the next votes. Marco will want to put himself forward to oversee the areas and take over these territories," Alpha Asher told me.

The rest of us who were against it were worried. My wolf felt that he wanted to go out free and attack all those cowardly Alphas.

"Roger... I need to leave a group here, maybe the twins would be ideal... but there are other towns as well."

"We will have to leave a sentinel in each of them," he said to me. Penelope was right. If she wasn't my mate, I wouldn't care about the humans. Now, I had to divide my forces to protect them all. "There's one more thing, Alpha," my friend told me, almost in fear. "I heard that your father was talking to other packs about finding a Luna for you."

"What the hell?" My dad wouldn't dare! Even though I would think he was doing it for my sake. That he's helping me.

"That's right. He'll probably talk to you about it. I've overheard him on calls with other Alphas... and you know he's going to find some candidates sooner or later," Roger explained.

My father had talked about it before, and I had even accepted some negotiations to get a Beta girl or an Alpha's daughter. Someone to give me strength. No, no... I had to stop this! I had to decide... and I didn't want to. My hands felt tied.

"Anyone who hangs out with humans must be considered a traitor to our species," I heard Marco say out loud. He was gathered with the rest of the Alphas who had supported him. "Humans are just miserable creatures, who would be with them?" said another.

"Whoever was with the humans must be friends with rogues!" shouted another.

"They must be blacklisted. Someone must be of the worst kind to support a species that was not your own..." said another. Marco smiled. He gave me a sidelong glance while I controlled myself by clenching my fists.

"Roger, keep an eye on him. I'm sure he's been spying on me... I don't know how... but he's involved with the rogues. I didn't have any proof right now. But I'm pretty sure he knows about Penelope," I spoke to Roger through the mind link. "I will hunt him day and night, I will get warriors! I won't let you down, Nate," he said, agitated.

"I have to go see her," I said and left.

Instead of going straight to the restaurant, I made several stops just in case I was being followed. And then I quickly walked into the restaurant through the back door.

All the way there, I kept thinking that she had said they were Crimson Fangs from the attack all those years ago... and no one believed her. I didn't believe her.

A simple human girl had given us the information we needed. If only we had believed her before, so much could have been avoided.

Locating her was the easiest thing in the world, as Hunter seemed to have a compass that led me directly to her.

Fortunately, I found her alone in what seemed to be a small food storage room. I was so fast and so quiet that she almost jumped in fright when she saw me. She looked beautiful as always. "Damn it, Nate! What are you doing here?" She looked tired and I headed straight to hug her even though she did everything she could to pull away from me.

"Penelope, you have to come home. The town's dangerous... the Alphas... please come with me," I pleaded with her.

"Of course not! I have to work, it's my shift!" she said stubbornly.

"I wouldn't ask you if I didn't know it was urgent, your life depends on it!"

"I don't have to do what you want, Nathaniel, I have no obligation to you!"

"Penelope! I'm your mate and your Alpha, you should..." Her brown eyes widened. I could see her anger and determination.

"Thank you for saving and defending me... but do not think, for one second, you have any power over me! If you think I'm a fool you can manipulate... you're dead wrong!" she said angrily. "Penelope, I..."

"Did you think I would do anything you wanted because you fucked me?" she asked in a rush.

"What?! How could you say something like that? I would never think that!"

"Especially after you practically ran out of my house and left me there..." she trailed off. I could see the disappointment on her face. It's true... I did leave her alone.

"There was an attack in the pack... I had to be there... please, you must understand," I told her, almost on my knees. What if the others found out she was my mate...and did something to her? "It's obvious that I'm nothing to you... and you... are nothing to me..." she said, annoyed. I was almost out of breath.

"I don't believe you..."

"Just because you're an Alpha... you think you can fuck whoever you want, and I'll fall at your feet!" she shot back. I was annoyed.

"Is that true Penelope? Do you really think that?!" I said, almost shaking.

"It is..." she said, but she didn't sound convinced. I walk toward her.

"Then tell me... tell me that I didn't mean anything to you," I said threateningly. She swallowed.

"You don't..." she said and stared at me, her body shaking as I pushed her against some shelves.

"You..." she said, but no other words came out of her mouth.

I pressed her against me... and I went straight for her mouth. I heard her moan as my hands roamed her body, and her hands went to my neck, down my shirt, touching me in a desperate kiss full of fear and desire.
