Alpha´s curvy bullied human mate

Chapter 38: Threats

Nathaniel

"How is she?" the twins asked me.

"Sleeping. It was a shock. She loved these animals and it was a frightening scene.....

"Sorry, Alpha... we were hiding it when..."

"I understand. You said you didn't find anything strange nearby?"

"Nothing, except the smell of wolves, but we honestly couldn't tell who it belonged to. There's also a slight smell of rogues," said one of them, overwhelmed.

"They killed the poor animal to send a message, right here at the door of her house. But because their smell was mixed up with ours, I must say that it is a very well-thought-out idea....." I confessed. "What are we going to do about Penny?"

"It's obvious that someone's already figured out that she's my mate. If they want to attack me, or worse... she's the key," I said. None of the options were positive.

It all came back to Marco. The Alpha wanted to get close to me and finish me off. And if I get careless, he would be able to do it.

"She wants to go to the restaurant."

"Yes, and although I'm against her exposing herself... I think it's good for her, better than being locked up here. Maybe it's the safest place now, surrounded by people she knows," I say.

I had to go back to the pack. But before I left, I talked to Naomi. She was personally recommended by Michael. She was a strong warrior, and she seemed to have a special affection for my mate.

In the short time they had been together, they had gotten along well, and that was no small thing. If I wanted to bring my mate into the pack, I had to gain supporters first.

"Stay outside the restaurant at all times. Keep an eye on her, but keep your distance, so that she doesn't feel watched. She has been through a lot today."

"I will give my life for the new Luna, I would do anything to protect her," she said, serious and determined.

When I returned to the pack, Michael and I checked out the area thoroughly. I oversaw the training of the new warriors, keeping them informed of the dangers and what was to come.

I wanted them to understand the problem with the humans and how it could affect us - and most importantly, not to trust Crimson Fangs. When I got back to the pack house, my mother was waiting for me. "Your father is waiting for you."

I closed my eyes and thought of Penelope, who needed me. Hunter sighed, missing her, and I remembered the sweet moments I had with her just a few hours ago. I had told her that I loved her... it was so true. "Dad," I said as soon as I walked in.

"Son, you're here! Thank goodness, I've been told you've been very busy, and I wanted to tell you something."

"Dad, I... "

"I got you a Luna," he said very proudly, and I growled.

I couldn't control my wolf's reaction, and I didn't know if I wanted to avoid it. We already had our mate, and it was our right to be bothered with such a proposal.

"I knew you would be upset and that it wasn't what you wanted, but the girl is beautiful, I knew her myself. She has Alpha blood and with her, you'll have the strongest pups in the region and

"I can't listen to another word of this," I said firmly, and my father looked at me stunned, my power rising like a wave.

"Son?"

"Yes, I am your son, but I am also your Alpha and I will in no way accept you interfering in my affairs," I tell him firmly. "I know your intentions are good, but I am the Alpha, and I can, and must, make my own decisions...." "But you will always need help, son," and he would endure the need to submit to me.

"Yes, when I need it. But now is not the time. You're going to solve this issue and tell this Alpha that I will not mate with his daughter," I roared back at him, and he looked distraught.

"If you don't have a mate soon, if you can't satiate your wolf, you will...."

"I can tell you without a doubt that I have faith in the Moon Goddess, that she will guide me. Whatever comes into my future, I choose to trust and believe that the Luna of this pack will come soon, and she will be perfect," I told him with such confidence that he nodded.

A werewolf can deny and talk about many things, but from the first mention of the Moon Goddess and our beliefs, there was nothing more to say.

"Please, I don't want to hear any more about this subject and I hope it will be settled soon," I told him coldly. I could hear Hunter snort. Maybe we had to go through this to show him who's boss.

"Stay away from Crimson Fangs, as well. You think you have everything under control, but you don't know what you're getting yourself into, and it will end up being dangerous for everyone, believe me. The world is changing, Father. Our future will depend on whether we adapt or not," I told him as he started to leave, and I heard him sigh.

"Now you sound just like your mother."

"Well, she is a smart woman, maybe you should listen to her more often."

...

I kept in touch with the twins and Naomi, as well as any warriors willing to watch over and protect my mate. But it was not enough, and it couldn't compare to me being there, so I counted the hours as I completed all my Alpha duties to be with her.

"There were strange movements at the farm again, Alpha," a warrior told me.

"We heard screams, but then nothing... we think Marco and his wolves have help," Roger told me over the mind link. "Other creatures?" I asked.

"Maybe. If the Council finds out, it would be the end of Marco," my Beta said. Bringing other species into werewolf matters was treason. But it wasn't good news anyway, it just made things more complicated for us. Damn it!

I checked the whole area around the restaurant and took a look inside. There were a lot of strangers, and the restaurant was getting more and more crowded.

"Have you heard about the Hills and Martinez families? One of the daughters is missing, and the others practically ran out of town," I heard some women talking.

"And it's not just here, it's two towns over... I have a feeling that soon we will all have to leave. I feel that this place no longer belongs to us, but to all these people," the other woman replied.

There were other smells in the town, and not just of werewolves. The world was full of other things that humans didn't know about. And sometimes ignorance can be a blessing.

When I saw them in the distance, Hunter almost jumped from excitement. But almost immediately I saw the stupid bartender approaching her and speaking into her ear, extremely close.

"That human doesn't know who he's messing with!" Hunter snorted, and I could swear I was minutes away from transforming.

It made my blood boil, the familiarity with which he moved close to her and put his hands on her back, touching her...

"Mate is ours! Only ours! And the rest of the world should start to understand that!" he howled in my head.

But the guy walked away, and I immediately could see her worried face. I blamed myself for not doing enough to calm her down. I tried not to let her see me, but I spent a long time in the restaurant anyway.

Naomi signaled me to look out for a group of men who looked suspicious. They certainly looked like werewolves from another pack, and I didn't know if I was being paranoid, but it seemed to me that they never took their eyes off my mate.

I followed her as she walked past the bar, and noticed a werewolf quickly grab her ass. When she turned around, the man was gone, and I quickly pulled him off. I pushed him against a wall outside and I kicked him between the legs. The man fell to the ground, screaming from the pain.

"Haven't you been taught to respect women? She is not an object that you can touch as you please!" I screamed. He seemed to have had a little too much to drink.

"Who are you and what are you doing in this town?" I bellowed with my Alpha aura

"We're just passing through, and..." He looked scared.

"Bullshit! There's never anyone here and you didn't take your eyes off that waitress!"

"The... the... the... fat one?" he asked. I broke his nose and then kicked him back to the ground.

"Don't kill me, Alpha! I swear, I was just trying to have some fun with this human and her big ass..." he said. I took the hand he touched her with and broke a few fingers. He screams in pain.

"Get this straight. You are not touching any human. Is that clear?" I whispered to him as I felt movement a few steps away. I left the frightened werewolf on the floor as I saw the bartender appear. "What are you doing here?" I asked him.

"I work here, what are you doing here? I saw that man make a pass at Penny..." he said as he saw the big man on the floor, shaking at the power I exuded.

I hate that he called her by her nickname. I walked over to him and quickly grabbed his shirt, and the guy flipped out.

"What do you want with her?"

"I... I'm her friend. I just want to protect her, man. Strange things are going on here..."
