Alpha´s curvy bullied human mate

Chapter 81: True intentions

Nathaniel

"What is going on?"

I hear men moving back and forth near where I am being held.

Several loyal warriors had come over the past few days. Some brought me food, water, and medicine.

"I don't know Alpha, it seems we have visitors. You need to be alert, Alpha and prepared for anything," the warrior on duty told me. I hoped that maybe it was a shaky moment that would allow me to at least put up a fight.

I was feeling better, though I did not show it. During this time, my father had come again to lecture me, insisting that I had to cooperate. I reacted less and less.

I could also see Regina in the distance. She seemed to be waiting for the moment when I would break down and practically beg her to be my Luna. That was not going to happen. I didn't hear from my mother and I didn't hear from Roger, and I just waited and waited.

And I thought my time had finally come.

When Robert's warriors arrived and dragged me through the corridors, I let go easily. I had been injected with wolfsbane a few more times, but at least my wounds had healed much better. The effect would wear off, I just had to stay strong. I saw warriors passing by, charged with protecting the pack house, and vampires hissing as they saw me. When they left me practically on the ground, I saw what all the commotion was about. "Marco..." I said.

I had expected him to show up sooner or later, but I was still reluctant to think that my father would be so bold as to bring him here... amid our pack, not as a guest but as a conqueror. It was painful to think about, and tragic to see. He was not alone, of course, but there was his father, Karl and Erica, who watched me with concern as if I were a lost puppy, her toy.

My father and Robert were there like good soldiers, thinking they were their equals, even though they clearly were not. Crimson Fangs controlled us, they were our lords and masters now.

"I see you are being treated very well..... Nate. Although it would have been easier if you'd been a little more cooperative," Karl said.

When I was a kid, he was one of the most powerful Alphas, the envy of the rest. A man who had found his mate, destined for a she-wolf, when to the rest of us it seemed completely impossible.

"Your father told us that you seem to have problems accepting your Luna, Is that true? What doesn't my wonderful daughter have that you need?" he asks me, and I try to give as little information as possible. "Erica is not the problem..." I say, and my father gets nervous and comments.

"Of course, it's not! Erica will be Moonstone's new Luna, and we are really happy to have her with us."

"Good, then all that's left is to decide when the ceremony will take place," he says, confirming.

I have to keep this scam going as long as possible, even if it costs me dearly. Marco looks at me with a satisfied smile, he seems very happy to have me in his clutches.

"Now to our other topic. I guess the daughter of the Beta must be very excited to be the mate of my son and that she will breed the future Alphas..." Karl says and I can see that neither he nor Marco believe this.

Robert stutters as he steps forward to explain the situation, no doubt Regina must have made it quite difficult for him, and the man doesn't know what to do.

"My daughter will cooperate happily."

"Is that true? Because the rumors I've heard are that she's doing everything she can to escape and not hold up her end of the bargain," Marco says. "Impossible!" says my father in despair.

"Oh yeah? You seem to forget that we are in control. That nothing happens here without us knowing about it "Marco says to Robert. "Your daughter is a bitch who has totally hindered our progress and thanks to her, we have lost the human," says Marco with hatred. "That's not true!" says Robert and when he least expects it, Marco hits him, sending him across the room. Damn...this escalated really fast.

"Let me tell you how things are going to be, old man. Your daughter is just another one of our plans, don't think she's too important, nor will she have any power in Crimson Fangs, if that's what you're thinking. She'll just be the face of the pack, and be responsible for pleasing me, spreading her legs wide and giving me a strong pup" Marco says as my father and Robert look on in horror.

"How dare you?"

"I mean... she's just a Beta's daughter, and she can't give me what I need. Our pack is so much more, and you just gave me your daughter as a prize," Marco says as his father and sister grin at each other.

These people are completely messed up, and I regret so much that I didn't see it sooner and believed my mate when she spoke a long time ago. That was our biggest mistake, and we paid dearly for it.

"How can you speak like that about my daughter, she's going to be special! She's going to be the Crimson Fang's Luna!" says Robert and makes a mistake, he stands up to this family who don't want anyone above them. Immediately Marco takes a gun from one of the warriors and shoots Robert several times in the chest, and head, one after the other, like a complete lunatic.

I stood by and watched my father trembling and in shock. Robert stays there bleeding to death until Marco kneels in front of him and whispers.

"I'm going to tear your daughter apart little by little, she will be mine, and she'll wish she was never born when I do what I want to her," he tells him, placing his hand on his chest and ripping out his heart in one fell swoop.

It was without a doubt the most horrible and, at the same time, cowardly moment I have ever seen in my life. It was killing for the sake of killing and in the least honorable way for a werewolf. On the other hand, Regina is completely crazy, but she has every reason to want to run away from Marco.

From the look on my father's face, it is undeniable that he has realized that all of this has been a serious mistake and that we are in the hands of psychopaths. And that now... he's utterly alone. Marco wipes his hand on Robert's clothes and carries on as if nothing had happened, and from the little reaction of the others, I realize that this is something absolutely common among them. "Well, any other issue?" Karl indicates as we all fall silent.

"Excellent, find the Beta's daughter and lock her up. We don't want her to arrive at the ceremony... damaged. And as for you, I don't expect you to come up with any clever ideas. All your worries will soon be over, my boy. Rumor has it that your human mate has left you, and no doubt it's for the best. The full moon is approaching and all will be ready for the ceremony. Moonstone and Crimson Fangs will rule these lands. Under my son's leadership, of course. Not even King Maximus will oppose this," Karl says happily to me, and I am dragged to my room, frankly expecting the worst.

I don't know if my father will help me, but I hope he will understand that he gave away our pack, so easily. I am glad that they think Penelope has abandoned me, and with that, I have hope that they will stop looking for her. However, soon after Marco appeared, he looked like he couldn't help but gloat about the whole situation.

"I told you, you'd better help me buddy... that you had to be on the winning side. And finally, with a bit of effort and pressure we are finally working together... did you see that it wasn't that hard?" he says with a big smile. I try to control myself. "You and I both know that what your father says is not what is going to happen, what are your real plans? You don't want to have a mate like Regina. You don't want us to work together either, do you?" I ask.

There is something else going on here, and everything indicates to me that it has to do with Penelope, which makes me anxious.

"What about you? Are you going to tell me the truth? what happened to your mate?" he asks me and I now find myself in the difficult task that I can't deny her, but I can't tell him the truth either.

"I have decided that the pack is the most important..."

"Bullshit! I know few people know how the bond works, but I do... my parents are destined mates and can't be without each other" he says, coming closer to see me.

"It's different because she's human...she can avoid the bond, and it's different for me too," I say.

"What do you mean?"

"Marco, you were there when I saw her and since I didn't accept her right away..." I say, and I can't believe that the first horrendous moments with her and how I had treated her badly are playing in my favor since the man seems to believe me. "It's a weak bond then... so much the better," he says thoughtfully.

"What do you mean?"

"I mean it helps my plans..." he says and I feel Hunter reappear, full of hate.

"We want to take your territory of course... but more than anything I want to take your mate. I want her to be mine" he says and I look at him shocked.
