: Chapter 34
I’m feeling very sassy as I sit at the bar and sip a martini on Friday night.
I don’t even know if I’ve ever had a martini before. I’m not a big drinker in general and I kind of stick to wine and margaritas and the basics when I do.
But this bar with its dark, polished wood, warm lighting, and leather furnishings felt like a place you ordered a martini. I like this one. I had ordered just “a martini” and the woman behind the bar smiled at me, gave me a wink, and said, “We can do better than that. What are you here for tonight?”
I decided what the hell and I told her I’m meeting the three guys I’m dating here tonight.
Her eyes had gone wide, but she’d given me a big grin, and said, “Yeah, I know what you need.”
This martini is chocolate and cinnamon and it’s perfect for my mood—sweet and spicy—and I really think I could drink six more of them.
I’m very proud of myself. I’m taking charge tonight with my guys and this is going to be fun.
I’m the first one here, as planned, and I have butterflies in my stomach, but I’m excited.
I pull out my phone to check the time and see if anyone has texted.
I read back through the messages I sent them this morning.
Me to W, J, and L:
I know we’ve all made plans for another date, but I have a better idea. I want you all to meet me at The Game Room at 8. Let’s do this together. Don’t make me choose.
They’d all responded pretty quickly. And pretty much as I’d expected.
Jackson: See you then, sweetheart. Can’t wait. But remember, there’s not a no sex rule tonight.
Luke: I’ll be there.
Wyatt: All of us together on the date too?
Yeah, I’d expected him to be a little pouty about it. But I really want this.
I’m falling for all of them. Equally.
Please?
It had taken him a little bit to respond but when he had, he’d said, Of course. Whatever you want.
I love them for different reasons. They all bring something different to my life. And I love when we’re all together. Just eating breakfast the morning after our amazing night together was fun.
I had the best time with each of them one-on-one too, of course. That just deepened what I feel for each of them. But it’s not just that I don’t want to choose between them. I love their relationship. I love watching them interact with one another.
And I can not come between them.
I want this to work with all of us together and I think a fun night out, all of us together when we’re choosing to do it that way rather than being forced together by mother nature, is going to prove it to them.
The Game Room is a really great bar I found online when I was searching for date night ideas that we’d all enjoy.
It’s on the second floor of the historic, classy Chicago Athletic Association Hotel on Michigan Avenue, and it’s not just a bar. It’s got a number of billiard tables, tables for chess and checkers, shuffleboard, foosball, and Skee-Ball.
I grin as I take another sip of my drink.
It’s the perfect place for my guys. Not only are they not the types to just sit around, they’re so freaking competitive. I decided the perfect way for us to spend the evening out together.
I’ve come up with a contest.
And I’m the prize.
I’m already hot and tingly because I know they’ll take this seriously and they’ll actually compete for my attention and what girl wouldn’t be all melty for that?
Wyatt, Luke, and Jackson are each a catch. Sexy, intelligent, funny, charming. They’re the whole package.
And I get all three.
I somehow feel them before I see them.
I turn on my stool to find them all walking into the bar area together.
Oh, that’s nice. I’m glad they came together. I wasn’t sure how that would work. I left it up to them but had chosen to meet them here. I’m sensing some tension between them and though they are communicating and making clear what they all want and how they feel, I’m a little worried about their relationship. I’m really glad to see them show up here together.
I smile and lift my hand in a little wave as Wyatt is the first to locate me. They start across the room toward me.
“Damn, girl,” the bartender says. “That’s them?”
I grin at her. “Yep.”
“Whew. Good for you handling all of that by yourself.”
I laugh. “It’s the most fun I’ve ever had.”
“I can only imagine.”
“Hey.”
Wyatt’s husky voice makes my heart trip, and I feel his arms wrap around me and his lips against my neck.
I slide my hand up along his neck. “Hi.”
He squeezes me. “You look beautiful.”
I’m dressed very casually in a blouse, jeans, and flats. But I did take time on my hair and make-up again tonight. They’ve obviously seen me very dressed down and liked me just fine, but tonight feels special and I wanted to put in the effort.
“Thanks.” I smile up at him, then look at Jackson and Luke. “Hi.”
Luke gives me a small smile and leans in to kiss my cheek. “Hey, Angel.”
“Hey, sweetheart,” Jackson says, wrapping me in a hug and pulling me off the stool so he can press me close. “Missed you.”
I hug him back and just soak in the happy feel of having them all here.
They seem fine. Comfortable together.
When Jackson lets me go, I look at them all. “Do you want drinks? Food?”
Wyatt shrugs and looks around. “Sure. What’s the plan? Hang out for a while, then go somewhere else? Stay here?”
“Oh, stay here,” I say. I reach into my pocket and withdraw three slips of paper. “We’re playing games tonight.”
I hand them each a slip of paper.
They open them and read what I wrote.
Their heads come up quickly, eyes wide… and interested.
“What’s this mean, exactly?” Wyatt asks, crowding even further into my personal space.
I’m surrounded by them. Our own personal huddle.
I lean over and look at his paper. It says: Foosball. Pussy eating.
I grin at him. “Whoever wins at foosball gets to do that—” I point at the paper. “To me. First.”
He looks around. “Where’s the table?”
I laugh and point.
“What’s yours say?” Wyatt asks, looking over at Jackson’s and showing Jackson his.
I look at Jackson’s too. His says: Skee-Ball. Blow job.
“I fucking love Skee-Ball,” Jackson announces.
“Me too,” Wyatt says with a frown. “And I’m good.”
“I am too,” Jackson says. He looks at me. “Is there just one blow job up for grabs here or is it just the first blow job?”
I smile and tuck my hands into my back pockets. “We’ve got all night. We can do whatever after that first one.”
I get three low groans and my belly swoops.
“What’s yours say?” Jackson asks Luke.
“It says I’m going to get to fuck her first,” he says, his eyes on me.
My brows arch.
“What’s the paper say?” Wyatt asks.
“Shuffleboard. First cock in pussy,” Luke answers.
I had stupidly felt pretty dirty even writing those down and now I love that they’ve all read them, memorized them, and tucked them into their pockets.
“And you think you’re going to win that?” Wyatt asks.
“No question,” Luke tells him, still looking at me. “Even if that wasn’t the prize. But with those kinds of stakes, there’s no stopping me.”
I’m finding it a little hard to breathe.
This is probably the best idea I’ve ever had.
What woman doesn’t want to be fought over? And this is safe fighting. Fun. A way to let them all be them, but acknowledge our relationship and prove we’re all winners here.
Jackson laughs. “The old man is the best one at shuffleboard. That tracks.”
Luke doesn’t look one bit bothered.
“Have you ever played tabletop shuffleboard?” Wyatt asks Luke.
He shrugs. “No. But I’ll be good at it.”
“So that’s your game?”
“No.”
“What do you mean?” Wyatt asks.
“I’ll be good at all the games,” Luke says easily. “I’ll be the one winning all of Brooke’s prizes.”
My body is hot, and the tingles have definitely increased. It doesn’t really matter who wins which game to me. I’m the ultimate winner here because all of those things are happening to me by one of my guys.
Wyatt shrugs out of his jacket. “Let’s go. Foosball first.”
I laugh as I watch them head for the game tables, then turn back to my bartender friend. “We’re going to need some food and drinks.”
She nods and hands me a menu. I place an order for a few appetizers and beer I think they’ll like. And another chocolate cinnamon martini. She says she’ll bring it all over when it’s ready.
Then I go join my boyfriends.
Wyatt and Jackson are already in the midst of a high energy foosball game, trash talking each other, and laughing.
My heart expands watching them. They’re so much fun. Jackson is more energetic. Wyatt is steady, more intense, but loves to smile and play. I round the table to where Luke is sitting at a high top table, observing.
“We flipped a coin to see who played first. I play the winner of this game,” he says, pulling me between his knees, so my back is resting against him and I can watch the game.
“So you already lost something,” I tease.
His hands rest, big and hot, on my belly. “No way. I have to be in the final round to be the big winner.”
He’s got a point.
I can feel the hardness behind his zipper against my back. I press into him. He puts his mouth against my ear. “It’s going to be like that all night? You being a fucking flirt? Driving us all crazy?”
I nod. “I did bring you here with the specific goal of making you compete for me.”
His hold on me tightens. “That’s naughty. And sexy as fuck. And very fun.”
I smile and turn my head to look up at him. “I love being with you all. It doesn’t have to be about sex all the time, though I love that. But I just want to watch you all together. I know once these initial games are out of the way and we’ve decided what will happen when we get back to my place, you’ll all settle in and joke and talk and just be yourselves. That’s what I really want.” I pause. “I mean, besides getting my brains fucked out by the three hottest men I’ve ever met.”
He growls, then says, “You’re brilliant, you know that?”
I lift a brow. “Oh?”
He nods, his expression softening a bit as he looks at me. “This is a perfect group date for us. Those two need to work some energy off when it comes to you. We all need to figure out how this is going to go and realize that it’s going to be fine. That there are not actually any winners or losers. We needed a night out all together to unwind and have fun.” He squeezes me in a little hug. “You’ve already figured us out, and that’s sexy and sweet as hell.”
I wrap my arms over his and settle into him. I love all of that. And I’m glad I made the right call here.
“Your place, huh?” Luke asks.
I nod. “Yeah. I figured neutral turf for you all and…” I bite my lip, then confess. “I want those memories there.”
He rubs his cheek against mine. “Another good call. But,” he adds, his voice huskier. “We’re going to make lots of memories in lots of places, Angel.”
Our food and drinks get delivered and the guys all relax even further as they munch on fried cheese curds and wings, and drink.
I’m laughing as I watch Wyatt finally throw his arms into the air as he wins the foosball game. “Fuck yes!”
Jackson shakes his head. “Dammit, Doherty.”
Wyatt grins. “I’ll let you hold her legs open for me.”
Jackson groans and I feel heat swirl through me as they both look over at me with grins.
Luke nudges me forward and slides off the stool. “Not so fast there,” he tells Wyatt. He joins him at the table as Jackson comes over to me.
Jackson takes Luke’s vacated spot behind me, wrapping his arms around me, too. I take a deep breath of his scent. I love his cologne and I love that each of the guys smell different. I swear I could be blindfolded and still tell them apart.
I shiver with the idea of being blindfolded with them. Maybe we could do that sometime.
“You know I’ll happily hold your legs open,” Jackson says, almost nonchalantly. “Best view in the house.”
Heat and tingles explode in my belly. “Oh my god,” I murmur.
He chuckles and nuzzles my neck. “This was a fantastic idea,” he tells me. “We’re going to have so much fun. I might just throw all the games so that Wyatt will calm the fuck down. There are no losers once you’re naked with us.”
See, I love how laid-back Jackson is. I love them competing over me, wanting me like that, but I know Jackson wants me anyway. He shows me in all kinds of ways.
“You don’t have to do that.”
He shrugs. “I know. But I just want to play, have fun, hang out. It’s all good.”
I lean into him. “You’re awesome, Jackson Hill.”
“Ditto, Brooke Wilder.”
We eat, drink, and laugh as we watch Wyatt barely beat Luke at the very end of their game.
He grins as Luke grimaces. “Dammit.”
“Ah, it’ll be okay,” Wyatt tells him. “You’ll get a turn with her… eventually.”
Luke’s eyes are hot on me. “I’ll be holding her for you. Guess that won’t be so bad. I can play with her pretty tits and talk dirty to her.”
“I already called that,” Jackson corrects him. “You’ll be standing to the side, just watching.”
“The fuck if I will,” Luke growls.
I laugh. “Okay, okay. There’s still two more games to play.”
Wyatt moves to stand right in front of me. He slides his hand up into my hair and tugs to tip my head back. He leans in and says, “Oh, there are so many games to play. They don’t all happen in a bar, you know.”
He kisses me and my mind swirls with all the delicious possibilities of what games we could all get up to.
We proceed to the Skee-Ball game, order more drinks, and the laughing and teasing gets louder. They definitely all relax and I fall a little more in love with them all. Their smiles, the way they know each other so well and clearly love one another. They’re three completely different people but when we’re all together like this, I feel like their personalities combine into one perfect man.
Jackson is out of the Skee-Ball match-up pretty quickly, but he gives me a wink that tells me he did it on purpose. I kiss him as a consolation prize and he murmurs against my lips, “I’m the smartest of the bunch, actually. The less time I’m playing games, the more time I can make-out with my gorgeous girlfriend.”
I arch closer to him. “You make a very good point.”
Wyatt ends up winning the Skee-Ball game too, barely, and he turns to me with a huge grin. He strides over, picks me up and plants a kiss on my mouth.
Anyone watching us—and we’ve definitely drawn some attention—is either very clear that I’m here with all of them, or very confused.
“Can’t wait to see your pretty mouth wrapped around my cock,” Wyatt says, setting me back on my feet, but not giving me any space. He strokes my cheek. “Fuck, you’re going to look good on your knees for me.”
I shiver. “You’ll go easy on me?” I ask, my voice husky.
His thumb strokes over my jaw, his eyes on my mouth. “I don’t know about that,” he says. “But I promise to be sure you’re having a very good time.”
I smile. “I can live with that.”
“Let’s go.” Luke claps his hands. “Shuffleboard is next.” He hits me with a hot look. “And last.”
We pick up our glasses and move to one of the shuffleboard tables. Again, they flip a coin to decide the first two to play. It’s Luke and Jackson this time.
Wyatt pulls me up against him, wrapping his arms around me from behind.
“Are you having fun?” I ask, tucking my hands under his arms.
“A very good time.” He kisses my temple. “Thanks for coming up with this.”
“I’m really glad.” I angle my head so I can look up at him. “I really want the four of us to be good. Together.”
He shifts back so he can meet my eyes. “I know.” He sighs. “They make you happy.”
I nod.
“And you make them happy.”
I smile. “I’m glad.” Then I have to ask, “Is that okay?”
He gives me a sweet smile. “How can I be surprised by any of that? They’re my best friends. Of course you’d fall in love with them. They’re amazing guys. And you’re incredible. Of course, my best friends are smart enough to fall for you.”
I squeeze his arm. “I didn’t expect this. But I like it. A lot.”
“I didn’t expect it either. But it feels good. And it saves me a lot of time telling my friends all about the cool girl I’m into.”
I laugh, feeling a deep sense of relief. I really care about these guys and I don’t want any of them upset.
Plus, I really want them all to come home with me tonight.
“Oh darn, I lost again,” Jackson says, moving close and pressing me into Wyatt.
I don’t mind being in the middle of this sandwich at all. With one hand around Jackson’s neck, I stretch the other up around Wyatt’s.
They both lean in to kiss my neck at the same time. I have two hands on my waist, two on my hips. I have one hard body behind me, one in front.
I’m pretty much in heaven.
“Come on Doherty. Let me kick your ass quick so we can take that back to Brooke’s place,” Luke says.
They both lift their heads.
Jackson pulls me closer, away from Wyatt. “I’ll keep her company,” he says, smirking at his best friend over my head.
Wyatt gives a little grunt. “Just keep her out here. No sneaking off to the bathrooms or something.”
“Oh, gee, what were you just thinking about?” Jackson says with a laugh.
Wyatt gives me a wink. “I just happened to notice that the bathrooms are all singles and unisex.”
“Is that right…” Jackson says, looking at me.
I shake my head. “I have an apartment not too far away. You’re not getting me naked in a public bathroom.”
“Of course not,” Jackson agrees. “I only need to get your jeans and panties down part-way. No need for you to be naked.”
I laugh.
Wyatt says, “No,” and points a finger at Jackson. But he’s smiling as he turns toward the shuffleboard table.
Jackson lifts me onto the high stool and then leans onto the table next to me.
We watch Luke and Wyatt play shuffleboard and it’s not long before Luke is grinning and Wyatt is cussing.
Luke walks over to me and steps between my knees. He’s not nearly as into public displays as Wyatt and Jackson but he’s suddenly making an exception.
He cups the back of my neck, pulls me in, and gives me a hot, deep kiss. His tongue strokes boldly against mine and I swear I feel it against my clit.
I’m practically a puddle at his feet when he lifts his head and says, “Time to go, Angel. I’m ready to claim my prize.”
