Chapter 215: Found to have had a surrogate pregnancy
The car arrived at a Western restaurant in an elegant and quiet setting, and because it was Valentine's Day, there were many couples seated around the table, which made Eloise Thompson feel, uncomfortably, that they too were as close as a normal couple could be without any heavenly difference.
Hector Rogers took Eloise Thompson's hand and walked to his reserved seat, then greeted the waiter and came over to order.
It was already dark and the restaurant was on the roof of the building, a beautiful sight to see through the glass walls to the beautiful night view outside.
...
In contrast to the harmony between the two, Reeva Lawson, on the other hand, had to go to the bar alone to get drunk.
On Valentine's Day, the man he likes is with someone else, and a man like Hector Rogers buys flowers for Eloise Thompson.
Reeva Lawson's eyes were closed and her heart was hard as hell, but she didn't know what to do now, she could only watch as Venser and Hector Rogers developed step by step.
At that moment, Felix Crammer approached, and Reeva Lawson drained his glass from the table, glanced at him lightly, and then spoke, "Why are you here again? I've made it clear before, haven't I."
Reeva Lawson really doesn't know what to do now, but there's no way she's going to give up Hector Rogers to accept someone else anyway.
"Reeva, do you really like Hector Rogers that much?"
In the past few days, Felix Crammer would see Reeva Lawson coming to the bar to get drunk, and every time he saw her go back drunk, it was hard to see his favourite person so upset and unhappy, and it was hard for Felix Crammer as well. "Yeah, it's very much like that."
He has loved her since many years ago and would even give up everything she has for Hector Rogers, but he can't see the good in her and all she can see is Eloise Thompson.
Reeva Lawson once again drained the wine from the table and Felix Crammer looked distressed, only to hear him speak, "Reeva, I can help you."
At that, Reeva Lawson looked at Felix Crammer and said in a faint voice, "How can you help me?"
Her mouth couldn't help but curl into a mocking smile; how could Felix Crammer help her now when she couldn't even help herself? Besides, what person in the world, would help the person they liked to be with someone else? At those words, Felix Crammer's gaze flashed darkly.
"Didn't you say before that Eloise Thompson had a baby a few years ago?"
Reeva Lawson narrowed her eyes slightly and couldn't help but look over at Felix Crammer.
"I've checked in the last few days and that baby has been born, Eloise Thompson was a surrogate for someone, but the other party is so secretive that I still haven't found out where the family of the surrogate is, and that baby was even harder to find back then, but... "
...
This way, after dinner, Eloise Thompson and Hector Rogers strolled home.
When they arrived home, Solomon was asleep and the two parted ways upstairs before Eloise Thompson took out the cufflinks she had bought at the mall yesterday and gave them to Hector Rogers.
Taking it, Hector Rogers was about to open it, only to see Eloise Thompson in front of him on her tiptoes, hooking his neck before dropping a soft kiss on his cheek.
"Happy Valentine's Day, it's been a great day, I'm going to bed, good night."
Hector Rogers' entire body gave a slight lurch; it was the first time Eloise Thompson had ever initiated a kiss, though it was only on the cheek, and before he could say anything, the person in front of him darted back into the room. After returning to her room, Eloise Thompson leaned against the back of the door, her heart beating faster than she could imagine and her face flushed red.
It was only after a few moments that Eloise Thompson calmed down and got up with her pyjamas to go to the bathroom.
In the next room, Hector Rogers looks at the box of cufflinks and recalls the kiss he had just received, and his expression becomes tender, with an uncontrollable curve at the end.
Good night, Eloise Thompson.
...
After a good night's sleep, the next day, at the dinner table, Eloise Thompson looked at the cuff on Hector Rogers' suit, the very same one she had given herself yesterday, and the corner of her mouth curled up slightly. Solomon, on the other hand, was planning to go out with his daddy Auntie Eloise in his parent-child outfit yesterday, but who knew that Rupert Rogers would stop him?
Rupert Rogers threatened not to bother Daddy and Auntie Eloise tomorrow, no matter what.
Solomon was reluctant but eventually had to behave and yesterday was behind him so Solomon had an early morning to plan where he was going to go.
"Where does Solomon want to go? Auntie Eloise has to work today, so we'll get together when we can find time one day."
After thinking about it, Solomon spoke excitedly, "A hike or an outing or whatever, Solomon wants to go out with Auntie Eloise and Daddy for once." Solomon would be happy to go out with Auntie Eloise and Daddy.
At that, Eloise Thompson brightened up, yes! They had never been out together before! She was already looking forward to it.
Hector Rogers pursed his lips and spoke, "I'll make the arrangements."
"Hmm." Solomon nodded happily.
After the meal, Hector Rogers gave Eloise Thompson a lift to the office.
...
Just as he walked into the department, Linn Dail came over with a gossipy face.
"Eloise, how did you get on with Mr Hector yesterday? Did you have a good time? Did you get the presents out?"
Eloise Thompson nodded, "It was quite a pleasure to give it away, too."
No, I should say very happy. After all, it was the first time I had received flowers from Hector Rogers and it was a memorable first Valentine's Day for both of them.
Linn Dail looked at Eloise Thompson with a happy smile on her face and was even happier for her, "Eloise, you and Mr Hector have to be together, and if you end up together, I'll be your witness! I'm so excited to think about it!"
It's not something Eloise Thompson ever thought she'd be able to do, but it's something that's happened in the meantime that makes her really want to go all the way, so she'll be happier.
Eloise Thompson put aside these jumbled thoughts in her head and got down to serious business.
A couple of days passed, the days at the villa were uneventful and sweet, and Hector Rogers and Eloise Thompson's bond grew stronger.
On this evening, Eloise Thompson had to work late at work, so she didn't leave until late.
Hector Rogers had an engagement tonight and therefore didn't get to pick up Eloise Thompson either.
Eloise Thompson was unconcerned and was walking out the door of the office when she saw a man approaching.
"Hello, are you Miss Eloise, please?" The man asked, speaking politely.
Looking at the unfamiliar person in front of her, Eloise Thompson was stunned.
"You are?"
The man in front of him had average features and looked honest, probably in his twenties or eighties, and I don't know why, but when Eloise Thompson saw him, a sense of foreboding surfaced in her heart.
