Love Comes To Me

Chapter 450: I'm his mother!

In the evening, Eloise puts Solomon to bed, tiptoes to the door and goes to Mrs Matriarch's room.

Mrs Matriarch was a little surprised to see her enter, "Eloise, is Solomon asleep, what brings you here?"

"Asleep." With a smile on her lips, Eloise leaned against the door, looked at Mrs Matriarch and asked, "Mum, are you not feeling well somewhere?"

Mrs Matriarch couldn't help but wonder, "Why do you ask that?"

Over dinner, Eloise could see that Mrs Matriarch had been distracted and was looking at Solomon extra often, and she was worried.

"You don't seem very happy about it." After a pause, Eloise explained.

Mrs Matriarch's heart was warmed by the fact that her daughter-in-law really cared for her, but at the same time she thought of Juana and felt a little uncomfortable, but her face did not show it. Eloise immediately said, "Then you get an early night, and I'll go to bed."

Mrs Matriarch watched Eloise leave and closed the door with a preoccupied look on her face.

That night, Mrs Matriarch lost sleep and tossed and turned until midnight before falling asleep.

The next day she woke up a little late, the family was at school and at work, and she was left alone.

Mrs Matriarch got up in a hurry and found it was almost nine o'clock.

She and Juana had arranged to meet at ten o'clock at the same place where they had met yesterday, and now there was only an hour left.

Mrs Matriarch was torn for a long time and decided to go to the appointment.

When she arrived at the mall, there was no sign of Juana, and somehow she was relieved.

Not daring to come, proving to be false.

"Mrs Matriarch, there you are." A voice sounded abruptly.

Mrs Matriarch jerked back to see Juana standing just a short distance away, pavilioned and smiling.

"Mrs Matriarch, it's crowded over here, let's find a quiet place to talk." Juana smiled at her, a nice and gentle smile.

Mrs Matriarch's face had regained its composure and said, "As you wish."

They found a cafe nearby and asked for a corner seat, with the wall on one side and greenery on the other, it was quiet and a good place to talk.

When she sat down, Juana, without any nonsense, consciously pulled out a stack of things from her bag.

"This is the ultrasound sheet from my pregnancy test, when Solomon was six months old."

"Here's a picture of me when I was pregnant, every month, not showing my pregnancy at first, my belly only got bigger after five months."

"This is a picture of Solomon when he was a newborn."

What really moved Mrs Matriarch was the two baby pictures.

In one of them, the little baby lies under a pale yellow quilt, eyes closed, sleeping peacefully.

The other one is with the eyes open. They say that newborn children are ugly, but this is not the case with the child in the photo. He is good-looking like a doll, with big, round, woolly eyes that are very animated. You can feel the puff of cuteness through the photos.

Mrs Matriarch immediately recognised it as Solomon.

Because when she first saw Solomon, he was exactly as he was in the photo, and just as cute, with his big, dark, soulful eyes.

Mrs Matriarch rubbed the picture lovingly and her heart swelled with emotion.

Juana has been sitting quietly, not rushing Mrs Matriarch, who suddenly seems to be in no hurry again.

After a moment, Mrs Matriarch calmed down, looked at Juana and said calmly, "You came to claim your family after so many years, Solomon our family could not have given it to you."

Juana was pleased but deliberately bitter, "It's okay, and I'm not here to rob Solomon."

Mrs Matriarch's face eased a little at that, thinking that as long as she didn't rob Solomon, then everything would be fine.

Who knows, but Juana said, "For so many years, I have not slept a wink for Solomon, and now that Solomon has finally been found, I am content to know that he is doing well. I'm not going to lie, I made a vow before that if I found Solomon, I would give him all the love I could, and because of that, I haven't had a family yet, I can ..."

Before she could finish her sentence, Mrs Matriarch understood and interrupted unceremoniously, "My son is married, and I can give you a sum of money as compensation for having Solomon."

Juana's lips trembled and her eyes filled with tears, then, pushing back her chair, she flung herself on her knees in front of Mrs Matriarch.

"What are you doing?" Mrs Matriarch was startled.

Juana, with tears in her eyes, but stubbornly said, "Mrs. Ken, I know, the Rogers family has money and I'm a small person, but I don't want to just give up on Solomon, I'm his mother!"

Mrs Matriarch's face was ironic as she stared at her, "You haven't raised him for a day, Solomon doesn't know you exist."

Juana shook her head vigorously, "That's why I had to let him know, Mrs. Ken, don't be so cruel, none of this, none of this is what I would have wanted."

Mrs Matriarch grimaced, a faint twinge of guilt surfacing in her heart, and called to her, "Get up first, what's it like to kneel here."

But Juana said sadly as if she hadn't heard, "Mrs. Ken, you haven't asked Solomon if he wants to call me his mother, so how can you take away my rights? If your son were gone, would you still be able to say this?" Mrs Matriarch was silent.

Juana sobbed, "You can't bear it, can you? No mother would give up on her child, and neither would I. I've been searching for so many years and I look forward to being with my son every day, I can't just give up." "You get up first!" Mrs Matriarch said once again, always calm, a little confused by this moment.

Juana shook her head, "I'm not getting up."

Mrs Matriarch doesn't know what to do. Rationally, she is reluctant to break up her son's marriage, plus she likes Eloise far more than this supposed biological mother of Solomon, and emotionally, she knows that she cannot take stronger

measures.

The woman in front of her was the mother of her beloved grandson, and she couldn't do that.

Mrs Matriarch is in a dilemma.

For a moment, the corner was quiet, except for Juana's choked sobs, which rang out intermittently.

Mrs Matriarch rested her hands on her thighs, maintaining a straight spine and sitting upright, but with a slight frown on her brow.

She is now in a very difficult position.

Juana sniffled softly, bowed her head, hunched her shoulders and was a little pathetic.

After a long time, Mrs Matriarch finally let out a long sigh and said, "Get up, I can't make the decision on this matter, I have to go back and discuss it with my family."

Only then did Juana get up, bowed respectfully towards her, and with red eyes, said, "Thank you, I can wait, I just hope, you don't separate me from my son."
