Love Comes To Me

Chapter 701: Self-disruption

That day Thomas came over with the papers he had sorted and knocked on Hector's door.

"Come in."

"President, this is the news that came back."

Thomas said handing over the tablet in his hand.

"Marian has disappeared since she got here, it feels like she's being protected straight away, plus this whole thing about Marian's accident was very confidential, and now that it's been leaked, I suspect there's a mole in the company." With those words, Thomas stepped back and waited for Hector's orders.

Staring at the small red dot flashing above, Hector's face was dark and uncertain.

He had heard about what was going on within the company in the past few days, but he hadn't had time to worry about it before.

Now that Eloise was out of danger, it was time to take care of these tedious matters.

After snapping the tablet shut, Hector clasped his hands in his palms.

He looked at Thomas with a stern look in his eyes, "If he succeeds in this matter, he will certainly do it again later, so let's wait and see what happens, and keep an eye on the personnel movements in all departments of the company." "Yes, Prince, what about Marian?"

At the end of the day, Thomas thought about Marian and couldn't help but mention it. "Keep tracking, don't let a single trace go, I want to see where she can escape to." With those words, Hector grabbed his coat and left, driving to the hospital.

When he came to the door of Eloise's hospital room, Hector stopped in his tracks. Through the window, he could see her pale face.

Hector was really distressed to see her like this.

The corners of his brows knitted deeper, all because he had failed to protect her.

Hector's guilt deepened as he thought about this.

Eloise's attending doctor was passing by at that moment and saw Hector standing in front of the window, his eyes fixed on the room.

He spoke softly, "Are you Eloise's family?"

Not knowing whether he hadn't heard or didn't want to say yes, Hector stood still and didn't answer.

When he didn't say anything, the attending doctor spoke again, this time in a louder voice.

"Sir, are you the family of Eloise?"

At the sound of his voice, Hector turned around and his handsome face caught the doctor's eye.

Seeing that the doctor in front of him was a bit familiar, Hector queried, "Not the same doctor as before?".

"Yeah." The attending doctor responded as he stared at the list of cases in his hand.

After reading it correctly, he looked up and met Hector's dark eyes.

"The patient's condition has stabilised for the time being, but she often calls out 'Hector' in her sleep, do you know this person?"

At the sound of his voice, the corner of Hector's mouth curved up, but it was short-lived.

With a sidelong glance at Eloise lying on the bed, he withdrew his eyes and nodded at the attending doctor.

"Then you should have him come to the hospital more often in the future, it will help the patient's recovery."

When he finished, someone from the office called the attending's name and he said hurriedly, "Excuse me for a moment."

"Hmm." Hector nodded politely and walked into the clean white room after changing into an isolation suit.

Eloise on the bed seemed to blend in with the place, her little face very pale.

Hector sat down by her bedside, his big hands caressing her pale face. Hector sat down on the edge of her bed, his big hand stroking her pale cheek.

He muttered something to himself, seemingly about the anecdotes and troubles of the past few days.

The hours passed slowly and the sunset glow slanted in through the thick glass, pacing the tall, steady figure of the man with a golden edge.

By the time Hector returned to the office it was eight o'clock and he sat at his desk with his computer open, working on the official business he had left behind during the day. "Prince, here are the movements of all the employees today, and there are no signs of anything suspicious."

Thomas said, and respectfully handed over the tablet.

Hector casually scanned the tablet for a few moments, gave a "hm" and then asked Thomas to leave. Naturally, the spy would not reveal his identity so early, but he would reappear before it was too late.

As he thought of this, Hector's sharp eyes suddenly looked out of the window, expressionless, as if he was admiring the view.

Over the next few days, Hector went to work on time, the company was running normally, and some of the employees who had done well were each paid significant bonuses.

In a large company, there are always a few employees who get together to talk about gossip and to add to the fun of the day-to-day work.

"I don't think the president is as abusive and brutal to Marian as was said some time ago."

"If the leaders of a large company were not smart and capable, we would still be rushing to join it. Besides, the new system that the president has recently introduced is very good and treats our staff very well, unlike other companies that squeeze them."

"In my opinion, it must be because some companies are jealous of our company, that's why they are sending out rumours to make us confuse ourselves."

At this moment, a middle-aged man with a steaming cup of coffee was leaning against the wall listening to the conversation of these people.

He looked grave and his brows were furrowed.

What he hadn't guessed, however, was that there happened to be a small camera directly in front of him.

The middle-aged man finished his coffee and returned to his work station, his gaze slack as if he was thinking about something.

It wasn't until a neighbouring colleague reminded him of this that he snapped back to his senses, smiled Shan and started into his work.

Hector's eyes were sharply fixed on the computer in front of him, and the screen was broadcasting the image of the middle-aged man frowning after listening to everyone's words.

His eyes glazed over a few times and his fingers beat rhythmically on the desk.

He watched the footage three times over before turning it off.

It looked like something big was about to happen.

Three o'clock in the morning, late at night.

A dark and windy night, a time to kill and set fire to.

The back warehouse of the JS Group was quiet, all the security guards had gone to sleep by now.

Only the pale moonlight shone on this dark spot, and the occasional cries of a hundred insects scrambled from the surrounding grass.

A dark figure tumbled in through the high fence, a sharp figure.

Once he had steadied his footing, he looked around and turned over, then breezed up to the entrance of the warehouse, took the key out of his pocket and entered with ease.

The products in here were the ones that were going to be on the shelves of the major stores tomorrow, and his job was to destroy them all and wrap them up.

That way JS Group would make headlines tomorrow and end up with their stock plummeting and going out of business because they had lost their credibility.

Just as he was about to do so, the doors of the warehouse burst open and lights shone in every corner of the warehouse.

Behind Hector was a large group of men in black, and he looked indifferently at the middle-aged man, his eyes were stern.

"Take away." His voice was as menacing as the Hades of hell.

The middle-aged man being interrogated at first refused to admit that he had come here on the orders of anyone.

However, he soon could not bear the chastisement used in the interrogation and spat out the truth.
