Chapter 70
Chapter 70 We Organized the Photography Exhibition
“Jake, I’m really happy you could come see me this time,” Sienna said softly.
She reached out to hold Jake’s hand, but he subtly dodged her.
“There are some business partners I know over there. I need to go chat with them,” Jake replied coldly as he walked into the crowd.
Sienna felt frustrated. She had been arranged to stay in Findley for two months, and Jake had never
called her. After finally making the effort to get him to come, she really wanted to get closer to him–even if it was just for the child!
With a reluctant glance at Jake, she turned back and was surprised to find Gwen standing right across from her, accompanied by an elegant middle–aged woman.
Sienna had a smile on her lips and deliberately stuck out her belly a little more. She looked like a legitimate wife as she approached Gwen.
“Why are you everywhere?”
Gwen didn’t even look at her. “I was just thinking the same thing.
Sienna gritted her teeth. “Treally don’t understand you. You were so carefree during the divorce, and now. you’re pretending to run into Jake from miles away to cling to him. You’re quite persistent.”
Upon hearing this, Sofia turned to Gwen and asked, “Gwen, is she the mistress who interfered in your marriage?
“Hey, you’d better watch your mouth, old lady.”
It was the first time Sofia had been called “old lady“, and she was momentarily speechless, almost laughing. “Gwen, do I look that old?”
As the founder of the luxury cosmetics brand, Merion Group, she held the secrets to anti–aging and had, effective skincare methods. Usually, people called her miss but today, she was being ridiculed like this.
“Aunt Sofia, you’re the most beautiful; she just has a foul mouth.” Gwen smiled casually, her tone indifferent. Then, she addressed Sienna, “To me, Jake is nothing more than something even the garbage. disposal wouldn’t take. I don’t know what you’re so afraid of.”
“You” Sienna’s voice turned cold.
Gwen’s gaze remained on the painting. “There are a lot of people here. I’m being kind right now, So up and leave. I’ll let you off the hook this time.”
hurry
“I’m not leaving. This isn’t your house, Sienna said, determined to pick a fight today. “Coincidentally, this photography exhibition is indeed hosted by our family,” Sofia stepped forward, her gaze turning menacing as she stared at Sienna.
“Who would believe that? This is a high–end photography exhibition filled with celebrities, showcasing Sunny’s masterpieces. How could it possibly be hosted by people like you?”
Sienna moved a little closer to Gwen, her disdain evident in her eyes. “I heard you’re just an orphan kom Bellmont without parents. It was already impressive that you climbed up to the position of the CEO’s
secretary.
“Now, you’re trying to come here to build your image? You’re making me laugh so hard I might have to get stitches.”

She had already sent people to investigate Gwen and knew full well that she was an orphan from the countryside. However, Gwen insisted on coming from a complete family.
Sofia was furious upon hearing this. Her usually gentle expression turned cold in an instant. “Say that
again.”
Gwen stopped Sofia. “Aunt Sofia, don’t be affected by the likes of her. Let’s go.”
She didn’t want Sofia to tarnish her elegant image over someone like Sienna. People and dogs were not worth comparing.
However, Sofia couldn’t let it go She might overlook Sienna calling her an old lady, but she would never tolerate anyone mocking Gwen’s status as an orphan.
Seeing that the older woman in front of her was upset, Sienna laughed dismissively. “Did I say something wrong? Are you trying to defend her now?
“She’s just a nobody who got lucky for a moment. You must be a poor relative of hers. You’re only able to come abroad to take a look because of her. Don’t forget to take lots of photos to show off in your village.” Sofia could no longer hold her temper, and her voice shot up several octaves as she yelled at Sienna, “I want you to apologize!”
“Dream on!” Sienna wasn’t afraid at all. “People like you who have no upbringing raise children just as ill- mannered!”
Then, there was a slap.
Sofia, unable to endure any longer, charged forward and grabbed Sienna by the collar. With a swift motion, she delivered a resounding slap
