Chapter 5
* It was believed they were descendants of the Greek god Zeus and his lover, Leto. Zeus was immediately taken by Leto's beauty. Zeus had a jealous wife, Hera. She had eyes everywhere, when she found out her husband was stepping out of line with Leto, true to her nature, Hera tried to have Leto killed.
Not ready to stop seeing Leto, Zeus would at times turn Leto into a wolf to hide her from Hera. Once Leto fell pregnant and Hera caught wind of the pregnancy, she forbade all lands under the sun from giving her a place of refuge to give birth. Luckily, Leto found a floating rock, which was technically not land, as soon as the light of Moon Goddess illuminated the island, she delivered his twins, Apollo and Artemis. As a gift for all the hardship she went through, Zeus bestowed her descendants the gift of the wolf gene.
