Earlier, everyone had been at the entrance to welcome the guests.

To be honest, Hugo couldn't see anything particularly special about the elderly man. He was sitting in an 80-thousand-dollar Cadillac CT6, accompanied by a middle-aged man and a beautiful woman. Unexpectedly, the elderly man was actually so formidable.

"I'm not sure about Mr. Holt's status, but he's undoubtedly significant. Dealing with Lord Kane should be a breeze for him. Even your grandpa said that Mr. Holt maintains ties with our family because of your great-aunt." After saying that, Callum suddenly became serious. "Have you developed feelings for that young lady?"

Although Hugo didn't respond directly, his eyes spoke volumes.

"Keep your feelings in check! You're not in a position to touch that woman. The gap between you and her is too vast to bridge. Focus on dealing with Wendy. That plan is critical, and we cannot fail" Was it that serious?

Before Hugo could process his thoughts, a Mercedes G-Wagon drove in. Kane emerged from the passenger seat, followed by three others.

The scene was much more underwhelming than Callumn and Hugo had imagined.

"Lord Kane, you should've given us a heads-up before coming. I would've prepared for your visit."

Knowing Callum was just putting on a front, Kane wasn't in the mood for pleasantries. "I don't waste time on small talk. Since you're here to welcome me, you must know why I'm here." Callum still wore a smile on his face. Although Hugo might have been intimidated by Kane in other settings, he felt no fear considering who was dining in the room behind him.

"Oh, Lord Kane, I'm not a prophet. How could know what you're here for?"

With a scoff, Kane stepped forward and pointed at Callum

"Playing dumb, are we? I'm taking you with me, Hugo. If you try to stop me, it won't be just your son who suffers but your entire family"

Without waiting for further orders, the three men behind Kane moved toward Hugo.

Meanwhile, a group of ten bodyguards had already moved into action, shielding Huga +25 BORUS

Their intentions were clear without needing to be stated.

"You're going too far, Lord Kane!" Callum's smile vanished as he stared at Kane.

"Even if you're Lord Kane, you should think twice before coming to my home to take my son. Otherwise, you might stir up trouble so big that even you can't handle it." Kane smiled. "Interesting. This is the first time someone in Avesburgh dared to speak to

me that way.

"Get him!"

Although there was a significant numerical disparity, with Stinger among them, all ten bodyguards were taken down within a minute.

"No one I wish to take has ever left without my consent!"

When Callum saw Hugo already restrained, his face turned a deep shade of anger. "Kane Guerra! This is my territory! You cannot take my son!"

He immediately pulled out his phone and dialed a number. "Dad, Kane is disregarding us and insists on taking Hugo."

After a brief conversation, Callum ended the call, and his previous smile reappeared. "Now, it's not just about whether you can take my son, but whether you can leave here in one piece."
