Nattie walked over in confusion, only to see Warren hand her the invitation in his hand.

She took one look and gasped sharply. "This... Isn't this an invitation to Stellar Group's partnership banquet tomorrow night?"

Sasha, who had just come downstairs, rushed over excitedly.

"No way! It's real. Dad, how did you manage to receive this? There are so many big companies in Avesburgh that don't even qualify for an invitation, yet you got one?"

Nattie became even more overjoyed.

"That's not all. It's said that those who get an invitation will likely become one of Stellar Group's partners for the city within a city project. Doesn't this mean our family has a chance too?"

While the mother and daughter were thrilled, Warren was unable to smile.

"I know how I got this invitation. I just didn't expect him to pull it off."

Him? Nattie was somewhat confused. "Warren, do you know someone like that?"

""It's Felix."

Warren had mixed feelings about this. Although Felix hadn't contacted him yet, the invitation was genuine, leaving no need for further explanation.

"That's not possible!" Sasha roared instantly.

"Dad, Felix may be Lord Kane's relative, but we're talking about Stellar Group here-a giant corporation operating across the entire country. Not even Lord Kane can influence Stellar Group, so it is impossible that he could do it for Felix." Nattie agreed with her statement.

"Warren, are you lying to change our impression of Felix? There's no way Lord Kane even has connections to Stellar Group."

Warren stood up and took back the invitation.

"Whether you believe it or not is up to you, but I've only ever mentioned this to Felix. Since we're invited, let's just attend tomorrow. If I really become one of their partners, I'll repay Felix somehow."

He had planned to cut ties with Felix before, but he didn't think this would happen.

As for the mother and daughter, they didn't care how they got the invitation.

Being classmates was just a label. After entering the workforce, everyone would inevitably change-gone was the innocence of the past.

"I'm not going. Besides, no one told me about it."

"Well, I'm telling you about it now. I'm the one who organized it."

Felix was confused. "You don't seem like the type to do such things."

Jack sighed, remarking, "What can I do? One of our old classmates is in charge of an important project for our company. If I can close the deal, the chairman has promised to promote me to vice president in a year." So that was how it was. Felix had no choice but to agree.

He hadn't even begun lending a helping hand to his friend, but his friend seemed to have already found a good opportunity. Felix decided to go and see how likely success was. If it couldn't work out, he planned to step in. Right as he hung up, a call from an unfamiliar number came. Felix answered the call without much thought.

"Felix, it's me-Dora. You didn't forget about me after just one night, did you?"

A thought crossed Felix's mind. "You've already found out?"

After a burst of laughter, Dora replied, "Of course, and the person behind it surprised even

me."
