Liam casually twirled the wine glass in his hand and asked Mateo coldly, "So, you won't stop until you marry Gem?"

"Not just that." Mateo tore off a drumstick and bit into it, then cracked a cunning sneer. "Marrying Amber is always in my plans. I'll marry her even if you're not involved. Tonight, I want to talk to you about the few territories in your hands."

'The territories in my hands?" Liam frowned. Initially, he was confused-then, he understood it and chuckled." What territories? I just work for Mr. Jenkins. The territories we took in belong to him. You'd better ask them from him instead of me. That's more straightforward."

When Liam and Amber decided to fake their marriage, Benjamin focused on training Liam. In the process, he gave Liam a lot of power and authority.

Liam didn't fail Benjamin. He did a great job even with his limited power. In half a year, he took three territories, namely the East River, West River, and South River. The three territories came with an important location and were considered important to the Jenkins family because they yielded many profits.

Liam sneered and said contemptuously, "Are you that greedy? Aren't you afraid that you can't take them all?"

He had spent a lot of effort to establish the three territories well, and nearly got killed twice in the process. They meant a lot to him, so he wouldn't willingly give them up to others.

"You don't want to?" Mateo raised his brows. He looked at Liam teasingly and contemptuously. "I thought you wouldn't care so much about power and fame, so I didn't expect you to be so reluctant to give them up. If that's the case, stop acting so noble. You got close to Gem just to reinforce your power and status, didn't you? We aren't that different."

"No, we're different." Liam sipped some wine. "I'm a human being with feelings, but you're a robot with no heart. You'd do anything just to get what you wanted."

"So?" Mateo asked darkly.

'So, I won't agree to your terms." Liam snorted. "I want both Gem's happiness, and Renee and Leia's freedom!"
