Chapter Unexpected Encounter 26
Chapter 26
"Tiff." Brianna put on a pitiful look. It was as if Tiffany was the one at fault and Brianna was the one who got hurt.
But Tiffany didn't buy it. She said, "William isn't here, there's no need for you to put on an act in front of me. And don't use the excuse of not being able to control your feelings for your schemes. "If you really can't control your feelings, how are you any different from an animal?"
Brianna hadn't expected Tiffany to be so sharp with her words. Her face turned pale. "Tiff, you can scold me all you want. But don't speak of William that way.
"I'm not interested in scolding you or talking about William. Tiffany looked away. "I hope you do well in your life. From now on, please call me Tiffany. We're not that close."
Just then, the elevator arrived at their floor.
Without a second glance at Brianna, Tiffany entered the elevator and left.
Staring at the closing elevator doors, Brianna bit her lips in frustration.
Instead of leaving immediately, she looked at the changing digits on the elevator as the elevator went up. Finally, the elevator stopped at the top floor of the building.
She hurried to the front desk and asked, "Could you tell me which department is on the top floor?"
The receptionist glanced at her. "That's our CEO's office. Do you need anything?"
"Oh." Brianna passed her the résumé. "I'm here for an interview."
"The interview will be held on the third floor," the receptionist said.
"Oh, thanks so much!" Brianna tried to get friendly with the receptionist. "Do you know which department Tiffany is in?"
"Tiffany?" The receptionist shook her head.
There were too many people in the company. She really didn't remember who Tiffany was.
Brianna reminded her, "She's the one who was talking to me just now."
The receptionist became cautious. "Why are you asking about that?"
"We were really good friends in the past. But a small conflict ruined our friendship afterward, I'm really happy to see her here. I only asked that to see if I could work in the same department as her." "Oh, the one from just now? She probably works in the CEO's office."
"The CEO's office?" Brianna pursed her lips. She hadn't expected that Tiffany would actually get to work under the CEO.
Right after Charles drove onto the highway overpass, his sister, Mandy Stewart, called him.
"Hello, Charles. How did it go with Vincent? Did you make any progress?" Mandy was standing in front of a huge floor-to-ceiling mirror. As she clutched her phone in one hand, she held a dress to her body. "No- Charles had not even finished his sentence before Mandy cut him off with a shriek.
"Charles! I don't want to hear that word. It will kill my luck!" Charles was at a loss for words. "I don't care

what you do, I must have dinner with Vincent tonight!"
Charles wailed. "Just spare me already! I've tried my best-"
"I don't want to hear any of that! I don't care! I want to have a meal with Vincent! If I don't get to have dinner with him today or see him, I'll kill you!"

Helpless, Charles massaged his temples. When Mandy finally got tired of shouting, Charles asked, "Would you mind having an extra person there then?" "Who would that be?"
"Vincent's girlfriend."
Mandy's jaw dropped.
After work, Tiffany got a call from Teresa, asking her to meet up for dinner at a Western restaurant near Lewis Tower.
