His destined mate

Chapter 48

Bianca's POV

Enough!" Theron shouted, his facade slipping completely. "You think you can intimidate me? You have no idea what I'm capable of!"

I stepped forward, unwavering. "We know exactly who you are, Theron. And your power doesn't scare us. It only exposes your weakness."

He glared at us, the desperation evident in his eyes. "You'll regret this. I have allies who will not take kindly to your interference."

Ethan raised an eyebrow, unyielding. "If they're as treacherous as you, they'll be exposed as well. The truth is on our side."

The hooded figures were now shifting uncomfortably, uncertainty palpable. "You're outnumbered," Theron hissed, trying to regain control of the situation.

"Are we?" I challenged him, feeling a surge of confidence. "Your manipulation has blinded them, but the truth is stronger than your lies."

One of the hooded figures stepped forward, hesitating. "What proof do you have that we can trust you?"

I glanced at Ethan, who nodded in agreement. "We have evidence-real evidence. If you choose to follow Theron, you'll only be aiding his dark agenda. Look around you; he has betrayed you as well." The figure looked conflicted, and I pressed on. "We can unite against the true threat, but we must stand together."

Ethan's POV

The tension hung thick in the air. Theron's confidence was waning, and I could see the doubts growing among the gathered figures. I seized the moment.

"Do not let fear cloud your judgment," I urged. "This is your chance to align with those who truly care for the kingdom, not those who manipulate it for their own gain."

The murmurs grew louder, and I saw several figures exchange glances, their resolve softening. Theron's anger was boiling over, and he stepped forward defiantly. "Fools! You're being led astray by lies!" he shouted, his desperation evident.

Bianca's POV

"Or perhaps you're the one blinded by your ambitions, Theron," I countered, refusing to let him intimidate me. "Your time is up. This is your last chance to turn back." One by one, the hooded figures began to lower their hoods, revealing faces marked with uncertainty and fear. They were beginning to see the truth. "I-I can't believe I trusted you," one of them stammered, stepping away from Theron.

"Neither can I," I said, my voice steady. "Join us, and we'll fight for the kingdom together. Or remain in the shadows and face the consequences of your choices." The tension broke as the crowd began to turn against Theron, whispers of betrayal rippling through the ranks. Theron's face contorted with rage. "You'll all regret this!" he spat, but his bravado was faltering. "You have no idea what you're facing!

Ethan's POV

I took a step forward, seizing the moment. "What we're facing is a united front against darkness, and you're on the wrong side of it, Theron. Your time is over."

The hooded figures began to murmur in agreement, and I could see the tide turning. Theron, realizing he was losing control, stepped back, panic flickering in his eyes. "Enough!" he bellowed, but it was too late. The crowd was rallying around us, their loyalty shifting.

Bianca's POV

"Theron, your reign of manipulation ends here," I declared, my voice rising above the chaos. "The kingdom deserves leaders who protect it, not betray it."

As the nobles stepped away from him, I could see Theron's carefully constructed facade crumbling. His anger morphed into something darker, and I braced myself for his next move. "Do you think this will end well for you?" he hissed, his voice low and dangerous. "I will not be cast aside."

Ethan and I exchanged a knowing glance. "We will not let you destroy what we've built," I replied defiantly. Ethan's POV

Theron's desperation turned into a chilling smile. "Then prepare for the consequences." He turned sharply, making a motion to retreat into the shadows. "No!" I shouted, but it was too late. He slipped away, disappearing into the night.

Bianca's POV

The crowd was abuzz with energy, a mix of relief and confusion. "We've exposed him," I said, my heart racing. "But he won't go down easily." Ethan nodded, his expression fierce. "We need to prepare for his retaliation. This isn't over."

The remaining nobles looked at us with newfound respect. "We stand with you," one of them said firmly. "Let's confront the darkness together." I felt a surge of hope. "Yes! Together, we can protect our kingdom."

Ethan's POV

As we regrouped and strategized, I felt a renewed sense of purpose. We had made significant strides, but Theron's threat lingered like a shadow.

"Let's gather more support," I said, addressing the gathered nobles. "We need to ensure everyone is aware of the truth."

"And we must prepare for whatever Theron plans next," Bianca added. "He will not take this lightly."

The nobles nodded, their resolve strengthening. We had a long road ahead, but together, we would face whatever challenges arose.

Bianca's POV

As we left the clearing, I glanced at Ethan, a mix of determination and anxiety in his eyes. "We've taken a step forward," I said softly, "but we must remain vigilant." "We will," he replied, squeezing my hand reassuringly. "With your strength and the support of the court, we can weather any storm."

Together, we walked back toward the castle, ready to face whatever awaited us. The battle for our kingdom had just begun, and we would not back down.
