Hector picked up a tired Sweety, who had a half-eaten cone in her hand, and rubbed it in his face as she talked to him.

As he was talking, the phone in his pocket rang and he cocked his head a little, gesturing for Eloise to answer it for him.

Eloise pulled out her mobile phone and was a little hesitant, but when she saw that it was Rupert calling, she picked it up straight away.

The other side had obviously heard that it was quite noisy over here, and after a few brief words, hung up first.

Hector asked with a wink what was up and Eloise said, "Rupert said your mother's fiftieth birthday is coming up and wants to make a big deal of it, so let's get ready." Hector thought about the date and it was indeed almost Hector's mother's birthday.

He tugged on the little group's braid, "Sweety, Grandma's birthday is coming up, do you want to go back and see it?"

At that, Sweety immediately waved her hands and nodded her head as if she was a child, "Yes!"

Seeing Sweety looking so excited caused a few adults to laugh.

Later in the evening, Hector asked Thomas to book a flight back tomorrow.

When a few people arrived home, Eloise got busy packing.

Hector just sat on his bed and watched, suddenly feeling as if time had gone back to the old days, causing him to be in a trance for a moment.

As he froze, Eloise turned back to him, hooked his neck and leaned down to kiss him on the contour of his ear, "What are you thinking about, it's time for bed."

Hector smiled and took Eloise in his arms, "Nothing on your mind, go to bed, you have an early start tomorrow."

They were preoccupied with going home and Hector's mother, who was in the country, was looking forward to it.

He has been looking at the door since the afternoon and muttering anxiously.

"Why aren't you back yet, is there a traffic jam."

Even Aisly was suspicious when she said more, and couldn't help but ask Rupert sideways, "Why do I remember that big brother and sister-in-law won't arrive until the evening, am I misremembering?" Rupert stuffed a grape into her mouth and affirmed, "You're right, the plane is arriving in the evening, I'm due to pick it up at 6pm, it's only afternoon, and I don't know what Mum's in a hurry about." "Ahem."

Hector's father shakes the paper and languidly casts his eyes over it.

Rupert's scalp tingled and he immediately said, "Mum's right, I'm the one who misremembered."

Aisly covers her mouth and snickers.

In the evening, Rupert drove to the airport and finally picked up the family of four.

Hector's mother was looking forward to the return of her grandchildren and refused to let go of them.

Sitting on the sofa all snuggled up and scarce.

Maryam did the same, one for each of them, which was especially fair.

"Baby, Grandma misses you guys so much."

At that, Sweety said crisply, "Sweety misses her grandmother too, very much, especially, brother, doesn't she?"

Solomon nods heavily.

Hector's mother was overjoyed to see her two precious babies and kept asking them questions.

Hector's father, seeing that he couldn't intervene, turned to talk to Hector.

"Did you get back okay? Your mother's been waiting for you all day and was chattering about it last night, which kept me awake."

Hearing the concern in Hector's father's words, Hector smiled and said, "Everything is fine."

Rupert picked up where Hector's father left off and wailed, "That's right, that's right, Mum was looking forward to it, rushing me to the airport after lunch, I told her so many times that my brother and sister-in-law wouldn't be back so soon, she just wouldn't listen."

Hector's mother, who has everything to live for at the moment with her grandchildren, ignores their jibes.

Aisly's tummy was starting to show and she knew that the children must be hungry after such a long flight.

So while we were catching up, we took some fruit and washed it and brought it over ourselves.

But before he could even get close, Rupert ran over in a frenzy and took the fruit tray, saying cautiously, "Oh, why are you washing the fruit yourself? Tell me what you want to eat and I'll wash it, your husband isn't meant to be a decoration." Aisly gave him a blank look, but the happiness in her eyes was hard to hide.

"I'm not eating it myself, I'm taking it for Sweety and Solomon."

"Whoever you take it for, just instruct me."

Rupert helped her to sit down, as if she were a fragile porcelain doll.

Rupert had been like this ever since she got pregnant and Aisly didn't even bother talking about him anymore.

But in front of his elder brother and sister-in-law, he couldn't help but blush.

A little amused, Eloise walked over to Aisly and sat down, asking with concern, "Is it hard, are you still throwing up, how's your appetite?"

"I threw up a lot in the first three months, but now I'm much better. I'm a great eater and look, sister-in-law, my chin has rounded off." At that, Rupert interjected after him, "Not fat, not fat at all."

"Where, your word is not to be trusted, it's that you've been tricking me into eating more, I'm going to eat less from today onwards."

Aisly suspects that even if she were fat as a pig, Rupert would tell her that you are not fat at all and are exceptionally cute.

That's so scary to think about.

Hearing her say that, Rupert immediately tensed up, "Honey, you mustn't lose weight, I'll have to supervise your eating at all three meals from now on." Aisly felt she had dug a hole for herself, "No, go about your business, I won't starve your son."

When she finished, Aisly slapped Rupert as if in anger.

Solomon and Sweety were sniggering at this pair of doggy treats.

Rupert tried to pamper his daughter-in-law, but Aisly had already moved on to talk to Eloise, so he had to give up.

"Rupert is right, you're eating for two now, it's normal to eat more, you don't need to deliberately lose weight or the baby won't keep up with the nutrition." Eloise passes on her experience.

Aisly laughed and quietly came over and whispered, "Sister-in-law, that's all I'm saying, I wouldn't eat less, you don't know how awful Rupert is.

Any time I say I want something to eat, he buys a trunk full of it, so you can't tell me how I can stand this."

Eloise couldn't help but smile and laugh for a while before asking, "I heard you fainted a while back, what happened?"

"It's nothing serious, our section was busy a while ago, we didn't work much overtime this time, and I don't know what happened, but I got a little dizzy.

I said it was fine, but Rupert didn't believe me and had to tell me to quit my job and come back, so I'm bored at home and want to go out to work." Aisly brings it up and thinks Rupert is making a big deal out of it.

When she heard this, Eloise said, "You're a bit too busy with your work, so it's better to stay at home and wait until you've had the baby before you go back to work." Hector's mother and Maryam both chimed in, the three coming together to talk about their personal experiences, and Aisly listened intently.

Every now and then I rub my belly and feel that life, now, is extraordinarily good.

The next day, the family began to discuss preparations for Hector's mother's 50th birthday.

The two Rogers family brothers and Hector's father discussed the matter and decided not to go to a hotel, but to have the birthday party at the family's banquet hall.

Father and son were responsible for going through the guest list, while Eloise and Aisly, not wanting to be so idle, took it upon themselves to confirm the list of drinks, cold cuts and the like with the butler. After all, it was Hector's mother's birthday and nothing could go wrong.
