Chapter 2367
Preslie disagreed with Yesseca.
She said, "Yesseca, we're still young. It hasn't been that long since then. We're not in our 70's or 80's yet."
Yesseca laughed bitterly.
Truth was it really wasn't that long ago.
But for some reason, it felt like forever ago to her.
Back in those days where she and Preslie worked as store assistants felt like half a lifetime ago to her.
It felt like from the moment she was born till now, her life had been split into two halves.
One part was before she had broken up with Tremaine and the other half was after they had broken up.
That's why when she recalled the past, it felt like half of her life had already passed her by.
"You're right, we're still young." Yesseca whispered, "That wasn't right of me to say."
Preslie held Yesseca's hand and said, "That's right we've still got many more years to live. We're still young and have all kinds of opportunities to take and learn from mistakes! If we fail at something, we can always get up and try again!"
Preslie had purposefully said that to her.
She was referring to the whole situation with Tremaine.
Yesseca had understood.
Her eyes looked downcast as her eyebrows casted a dark shadow over her eyes.
Preslie added, "By the way Yesseca, you still haven't told me what you say to me while you were standing by my bedside earlier."
Yesseca's eyes looked back up at Preslie as she said, "Oh I had just thought of why Tremaine had brought his wife to the lantern festival earlier."
Preslie was surprised.
But she had sort of expected this, she knew the only reason she would be up so late was because she had been thinking about Tremaine.
She just hadn't expected her to speak so calmly about it.
"Well, why then?" Preslie asked.
Yesseca smiled. "It was to make his farewell official. It was his way of telling me that things between us have completely ended."
Preslie saw how wide Yesseca was smiling, all she could was look at her quietly.
Yesseca then suddenly walked over to the window.
She opened the curtains and looked out into the pitch black night.
She said, "It'll be dawn soon, Preslie."
Preslie looked at her.
She replied, "Yes, it will be daytime soon."

"You see." Yesseca continued, "No matter how dark the night gets, the sun will rise again eventually. The heavens will brighten up the world once again."
Preslie understood what Yesseca meant and nodded.
Yesseca stretched her back and
said, "I really wanted to talk to you all night, but I realized that was in the past. We should be looking forward
to the future. We still have to accomplish our dreams of
becoming female presidents of our own company. To do that we will need a good night's sleep so we should sleep and feel refreshed for work tomorrow."
Preslie laughed. She said, "Yes, you are right! We're no longer the same ignorant girls from before! We have hopes and dreams now to work hard together to make into a reality."

Yesseca lifted up her arms and said, "Yes! Let's work hard together!"
Preslie lifted up her arms as well and said, "Alright! Let's do it together!"
After smiling at each other, Yesseca left Preslie's bedroom and went back to her own.
After Yesseca left, Preslie switched off the light and went back smiling widely.
She had feared that the incident from last night would have greatly impacted Yesseca, but that wasn't the case at all.
Yesseca had recovered much faster than she had expected.
It seemed that Yesseca had finally gotten over her break up with Tremaine!
