Time quickly passed.
In the blink of an eye, an entire month had passed.
A lot of things happened that past month.
Business for Preslie and Yesseca had grown exponentially to the point that their single store wasn't enough anymore. They made plans to expand into a second store and had already picked out a location. They would get up before dawn and go home late at night each day.
They would both immediately fall asleep when they got home from exhasution.
Yesseca really enjoyed this feeling.
Her life was so busy and fulfilling that she didn't have time to think about anything else.
Similarly, Tremaine was also very busy in Nashaland.
After returning from Agaphen City, he immediately set himself to work and got started on several state projects with Hogan. Even though most of the projects were still in the preliminary stages, the results from them have been very positive and attracted lots of praise from the citizens.
The Quartley Palace had also become a warm and lively place.
For the first time, both Madam Quartley and Yuliana agreed with Tremaine's new wife.
Everyone liked Rorita.
Madam Quartley was very pleased with Rorita's upbringing. She had come from a noble family and had the appropriate demeanor to be the first lady of the nation. She was very satisfied with her. Yuliana on the other hand thought that Rorita was too docile.
She was very respectful towards her, which pleased Yuliana immensely.
The largest reason she had so many issues with Yesseca and Qiana was because they both seemed to challenge her authority and status.
She had always felt that, aside from Madam Quartley, she was the real madam of the Quartley Palace!
Rorita's gentle demeanor clearly didn't challenge Yuliana's authority, especially when you compare her to the previous two women. Yuliana was very happy to have her.
She even openly sang praises of Rorita to Madam Quarltey which pleased her even more.
That afternoon, Madam Quartley brought Rorita to
see Ruth.
She hadn't resolved the whole Ruth situation yet.
She wanted to discuss this with Tremaine, but he never had the time to do so.
This wasn't something she could talk to Yuliana about, so the only other person that came to mind was Rorita.
Although Rorita might not be able to come up with a solution, she might at least offer some suggestions that could help.
On their way there, Madam Quartley told Rorita everything. She was shocked.
Having stayed at the Quartley Palace for so long, she had spoken to Zorion several times now.
To her, he seemed like a very kind and nice man even though he was mentally challenged.
But for a man like him to have a baby with another woman, that was incredible.
Seeing how shocked Rorita was, Madam Quartley explained, "Ruth was a servant at the Quartley Palace. She had taken advantage of Zorion while he was drunk. She had seduced him and pretended to not know anything!"
Rorita frowned when she heard this.
Because of her time studying overseas, she had learned not to look down an other people regardless of who they were, even if they were servants. But she couldn't tolerate women who would take advantage of a man for their own benefit.
But the moment Rorita saw Ruth, her negative impression of her changed.
