My Heart only Beats for You (Natalie Godfrey)

Chapter 2369

She was a very docile and weak woman.

She didn't find her to be a manipulative or calculating woman at all, instead she seemed sad.

Her eyes only lit up whenever she looked at her baby.

Rorita had come from a family of high ranking officials. Although she may not have a strong temperament, she had a good sense about people. She trusted her instincts.

Ruth wasn't a woman who sought after wealth or status.

While Rorita was observing Ruth, likewise, Ruth was also sizing up Rorita.

She was Tremaine's new wife, she was the daughter from a powerful family.

Ruth had assumed that she would be arrogant and pretentious. To her surprise the president's wife turned out to be a very gentle lady.

Her face and voice were very gentle as well.

She was like a still pool of water.

Ruth was very surprised by this.

She had worked as a servant for nearly her entire life and had seen many powerful people, she had grown to believe that all powerful people were arrogant in nature. But Ruth then understood.

If this lady had been like all those other high-class women, then the president wouldn't have married her.

Looking closely at her, she noticed that this lady was quite similar to Yesseca.

They both had the same surname and both of them were very gentle.

But, Yesseca's gentle demeanor had a hint of stubbornness with it.

When she thought of Yesseca, Ruth began to feel sad.

Yesseca wasn't just her friend.

She also represented a dream she had.

A Cinderalla story where a commoner could marry a president.

Any hopes of that dream coming true were shattered when Yesseca broke up with the president.

Ruth looked down at her baby. She had an unmistakable look of maternal love on her face when she did.

She no longer cared for that dream. All she wanted to do now was take care of her baby.

This baby was her whole life now.

After some time had passed, Madam Quartley left with Rorita.

She then asked Rorita when would be a good time to separate Ruth from the baby.

Rorita then said, "Separate them? Why on Earth do you want to do that? The love between a mother and her baby is one of the most precious things in the world. Separating them would be much too cruel."

Madam Quartley explained, "That's

out of the question, we have to separate them. It would be impossible for Ruth to return to Quartley Palace to live with Zorion and Yuliana. The baby belongs to the Quartley Palace, Ruth cannot raise the baby herself. That's why they had to be separated even if it is a cruel thing to do."

Having said that, Madam Quartley continued, "Rorita, you come from a family of high-ranking officials, so you understand that not everything in life has to be either black or white. This applies to several things in this world. There's no way around it."

Rorita went quiet.

She definitely understood that.

After a long period of silence, Rorita said, "Madam Quartley, if we really have to separate them, then we

need to give them more time. Theet

baby is still in it's infancy and needs to be breastfed it's mother's milk. It wouldn't be appropriate to separate the baby from it's mother-so soon."

Madam Quartley was reminded of how negligent she had been.

It was inevitable that the baby had to be separated from Ruth.

Although she greatly sympathized with Ruth, she had no other option.

All she could now was simply allow more time for the baby to be with it's mother.

Madam Quartley was worried as she said, "I'm worried that if we delay it any further, the baby will eventually form a deep impression of it's mother. Things will be even more complicated then." Rorita then replied quietly, "Madam Quartley, in our world, things aren't either black or white. As a child born into a noble family, this is a truth it will have to learn one day."

Besides, it was already very clear to her that Ruth already had a very deep bond with the baby.
