Not His Type Of Mate

Chapter 133

Nora's POV

I watched him leave the house, but I thought he'd be back soon, and I waited for him, hoping to apologize to him when he returned. Lolita had been scolding me since he left the house, telling me it was my fault again this time, and I should make sure to apologize to him when he returned home. I paced around the sitting room, waiting for him impatiently, but for hours, he didn't return, and I was getting worried.

Around 1:00 am, I heard a horn outside the house, and I rushed out to see if it was him. I saw him climb down from his car, and my eyes widened when I saw the way he was walking. He was stinking drunk, and I groaned. I rushed over to him and stood in front of him. "Where have you been, and why are you so drunk?" I asked him, but he only glared at me, staggered backward, and shook his head. "It's none of your business. Leave my front," he said coldly, and I refused and tried to hold his hand, but he took his hand away and took a step back. "Don't touch me, just leave!" He yelled again, and I sucked in a deep breath. I knew it was all my fault, and seeing him this way made my heart ache. He walked past me and entered the house, while I followed him and stood in front of him. I tried holding his hand again, and this time he did not remove it immediately. So, I was able to take his hand in mine. "Maddison, I know you are angry, but as a lord, why would you go out and drink like this? This is not fair, and you know it. You shouldn't be acting like this," I grumbled.

He groaned and removed his hand. "I said, leave and let me pass!" He muttered, and I shook my head. "Maddison..." I called, and he grunted. "I said, LEAVE!" He yelled and pushed me away. I tumbled and fell on my stomach. I thought I was going to hit the floor, but pain traveled through my whole body when my stomach hit the glass table at the center of the room, and I screamed. "Ahhh!" The pain was too much for me to bear, and I thought I was going to faint.

I slumped on the ground and groaned painfully as I lowered my head to check my body, and my body froze when I saw blood dripping down my thighs. "Argh!" I cried in pain as I touched the blood, and tears rolled down from my face. My veins were popping out, and the pain was unbearable, but I was getting numb to it as I continued staring at the blood while my tears kept falling. "My baby." I mouthed as I lowered my head again and realized the blood was increasing.

Maddison seemed to have heard my cries as he rushed over to me and bent down. "Are you okay?" He asked; it seemed he hadn't seen the blood yet. "I'm sorry. I didn't mean to push you like that. This book has many missing chapters and scenes if you're not reading it on [J] o bnlb.c[o] m. It was a mistake!" He apologized to me as he continued staring at my face, not lowering his eyes to see the blood on the ground at all. "I was just trying to make you leave the way so I can pass." He added, but I didn't say a word as I was too numb to even open my mouth.

I looked into his eyes and lowered my gaze to the blood on the ground. As expected, he followed my gaze, and his eyes widened when he saw the blood. He panicked as he quickly knelt. "Blood... Blood?" He cried as he activated his healing ability and started healing me, but nothing was working. He pressed his hand on my head and my belly, but the blood refused to stop. The only thing his healing ability did was awaken my pains again as tears started rolling down my face, and I felt the urge to remove my hand. I was uncomfortable - I was in severe pain.

He realized that his healing ability wasn't working, and his frustration grew. He looked at me and stood up. "I don't know... I don't know why it's not stopping. Let's go to the hospital, please." He pleaded as he tried to lift me, but I pushed him away. "Get your filthy hands away from me!" I yelled with the last strength in my throat, and he fell backward. He stood up immediately and rushed toward me again. "Please, let me take you to the hospital." He pleaded and tried to hold my hand, but I pushed his hand away and grabbed the car key that he had dropped on the ground when he came to check on me.

I forced myself up from the ground and held my gown as it was already heavy because of the blood and turned to leave the house. He ran after me with a panic-stricken face. "I'm so sorry. Please, can you let me take you? I didn't mean to push you, please. I'm so sorry!" He begged, but I said nothing to him as I walked out of the mansion and toward the car. It was painful, and it felt like I was going to faint any seconds from that moment, but I held on and opened the car.

"Stop this, Please, Nora. Let me drive you. You can't drive in this condition. Can you let me drive you, please?" He continued to persuade me, but the last thing I wanted at the moment was to sit beside him in the same place. I groaned as I struggled to position myself properly in the car.

I looked at him one more time before starting the car, and I drove away. The drive to the hospital wasn't easy at all as I kept feeling dizzy and tired on the way. I wanted to park many times, but I endured and continued driving. Upon getting to the hospital, I was still bleeding, but I grabbed my heavy blood-stained gown and climbed down from the already-stained car. The car seat was drenched with blood too, and my head was aching as I watched my blood dripping from the seat and my gown while I struggled to stand right after climbing down from the car... I was getting weaker.

I entered the hospital and started groaning as the pain increased. It was getting unbearable and hard to walk. I could barely lift my legs, and I had to hold the wall to support myself as I tried calling the nurses and doctors that were rushing up and down the hospital, but none of them noticed me. I was about to give up and sit on the ground when a nurse sighted me and rushed over. "Miss! Are you okay?" She asked worriedly, and I shook my head before pointing to my blood-stained clothes.

She gasped and moved closer to me. She called another nurse who rushed over too, and they both stood on either side of me as they helped me to a room where the bleeding was stopped, and I was cleaned. An injection was administered in my hand, and before I knew it, I fell asleep, but I woke up not long after as the pain had started again. The doctors were still working away, and they looked a bit troubled as they started connecting different technologies to my body while administering more drugs through the drip. A few minutes later, the door opened, and a wretched-looking Maddison entered with a pained-filled face. He rushed toward me and tried to hold my hand, but I moved my hand and glared at him, warning him not to try it. The doctor bowed to him. "Can I see you, Sir?" He asked, and Maddison nodded. He looked at me one more time before walking to the door with the doctor. They were trying to talk softly, but I honed my sensitive hearing and listened patiently to them.

"I'm sorry, but she lost the pregnancy. The bleeding was too much, and by the time she reached here, the baby was gone," the doctor explained to him, and it was like cold water was splashed on my head. I couldn't breathe anymore, and I nearly suffocated. I had lost my baby~~~

Tears ran down my cheeks, and I stood up from the bed. I removed everything that was connected to my body and walked toward Maddison. "Hand over the divorce papers right now, and I will sign them immediately," I said as my sorrow turned into hatred, and at that moment, Maddison became my arch-enemy. "Like you said, I was only with you before because of the baby, but it is gone now, and I see no reason to be with you. Your insecurity has killed our baby, and now I want to leave too. I can't live with you anymore, Maddison. I can't bear to see your face again because you..." I stopped as I wiped away my tears. "You disgust me, Maddison," I added, and a tear trickled down my face, but I wiped it away immediately. "Do well to send the divorce papers to me," I said to him and turned to leave the hospital. I felt no pain in my body again as the pain from my heart had overshadowed it.

I left the hospital, but he did not stop me, and I walked over to the car. I entered the car, rested my head, and started crying. The ache in my heart was excruciating, and I felt like tearing my heart out while my tears were falling profusely. I heard a horn behind me, and I raised my head, turning to see who it was, but it was just a stranger trying to park their car. Not wanting to create any scene, I drove out of the hospital, but I had nowhere to go. It was late, the street was getting dark, and I needed a place to stay for the night. I drove down to Alpha Leo's mansion and stopped in front of the gate. I wiped my tears and honked before the gate was opened, surprising the guards who were manning the mansion. They greeted me, but I was too weak to answer, and I was about to ask for Alpha Leo when he came out and saw me. "Nora?" he called softly and filled with worried.
