The Billionaire’s Regret

Chapter 118 –

There was an emergency at one of Morgan Corporation's overseas subsidiaries that needed to be addressed right away.

Cooper couldn't leave for the time being because he had urgent business at the main office.

Ivy then took on the task and went on behalf of Cooper. In the meantime, she could get a change of scenery.

Wyatt learned about Ivy's departure from the country an hour later.

He was drinking a cup of hangover tea in his office at the time.

"What?" Wyatt was trembling and didn't care that the tea had spilled on some important documents. He immediately stood up. He felt a nagging pain in his waist for some reason. "She left the country?"

Ken nodded. "Yes, Sir Sebastian received the return gift I sent to the Morgan Mansion. He stated that Ms. Morgan is leaving the country and may not return."

Wyatt's expression changed dramatically.

"She's going to leave?! Where did she go? What flight did she take?"

His heart and mind were in disarray. He was afraid Ivy despised him, but he was also afraid she ignored him.

Wyatt was determined to win her back, even if it meant making her hate him for the rest of her life. He couldn't bear the thought of her leaving his life! Ken's lips trembled just a little. "Ms. Morgan did not take a commercial flight. She flew with the Morgans' private plane."

Wyatt's pupils constricted. His expression darkened even more.

Did she choose a private plane to keep him in the dark about her whereabouts? She appeared to be very determined to leave!

Wyatt was in a panic. He felt as if a significant portion of his heart had suddenly collapsed! He clenched his jaw. His stare was cold.

'No, I have to find her!'

"I'd like to know where she went!" Wyatt raised his head to meet Ken's gaze. "Otherwise, you can disappear together with her," he said, his voice cold. Ken's body shook. "Yes, sir," he said right away. With that, he exited.

HOURS LATER. In Morgan Corporation's French subsidiary.

Wyatt stood at the door. He was tall and muscular. His features were deep and prominent, and he appeared exceptional. He exuded such a calm and noble demeanor that he quickly drew the attention of many people. The receptionist asked him several times if there was anything she could do to assist him.

Wyatt just sat there with a light smile on his face. "I'm expecting someone."

Underneath his calm and collected demeanor was a hint of panic. Even though Wyatt was aware that Ivy was present, he did not dare to approach her in such a hasty manner.

She would despise him even more if he did.

Wyatt wanted to wait for her downstairs so he could claim it was a coincidence. It didn't matter if she didn't believe him.

Wyatt laughed mockingly at himself. 'Have I become overly cautious now? Forget about it. It's all worth it if I can see her.'

Ivy had finished dealing with pressing issues and had gone to meetings until the afternoon. Louis Martin, Ivy's classmate, was the CEO of the subsidiary.

As they walked downstairs, they talked and laughed.

"It's all because of your prompt arrival. Otherwise, it would have been inconvenient." Louis gave a warm smile.

Ivy laughed. She looked bright and confident in her stilettos, like a true boss.

"It's also because of your excellent cooperation."

When they got to the first floor, they heard some ladies in front of them chattering.

"What is he waiting for? He's so handsome!"

"He's the most attractive foreign man I've ever seen! Unfortunately, he rejected me earlier when I asked for his contact information."

Ivy overheard their conversation and shifted her gaze to the lounge.

The man stood up and fixed his gaze on her. His eyes were filled with indescribably complex emotion. In an instant, he walked over to her. Ivy clenched her teeth in private.

'This jerk follows me around everywhere!' She remained silent.

Wyatt stood in front of them, casting a glance at Louis, who was standing next to her.

Wyatt's eyes narrowed dangerously before he returned his gaze to Ivy, which instantly softened. "What made you leave the country so abruptly?" Ivy's brow furrowed slightly. She raised her brow.

"Do I need to inform you of my itinerary?"

Wyatt was unconcerned about Ivy's cold demeanor.

Instead, his eyes were gentle and warm as he looked at her. "No, I'm just curious. It's not a problem if you don't tell me."

Wyatt, on the other hand, had several options for finding out.

Louis Martin, who stood next to Ivy, coughed slightly.

"Ms. Morgan, your friend?"

"No." Ivy denied it right away.

"Now that we've resolved the issue, would you like to stay for a few days before departing?" Louis proposed.

Wyatt's eyes became a little colder. The chill in his eyes as he stared at Louis was indescribable.

Ivy shook her head and frowned. "Perhaps next time. I still have some pressing matters to attend to at home."

"That's unfortunate. So, have a safe trip then."

Louis politely extended his hand.

Ivy smiled and shook his hand before turning to leave.

Wyatt trailed her with long strides.

When they stood together, they looked stunning. They had the potential to be the center of attention wherever they went! ON THE FLIGHT.

Wyatt insisted on following Ivy, who completely ignored him the entire time. He boarded the Morgans' private plane. "Didn't I go looking for you last night? Did I frighten you?"

Ivy gave a cold snort. "I'm sorry, I didn't see you."

Wyatt paused for a moment. His voice was slightly strained. "No one was with me the entire time? But my waist hurts a little, and there's a footprint on my clothes."

Ivy pursed her lips. A glint of guilt flashed across her eyes.

Wyatt was taken aback by Ivy's tolerance for him today. He was even touched!

Ivy couldn't bear Wyatt's stare and had to speak up. "Mr. Reed, what are you doing here?" She eventually asked him what he was up to.

Wyatt paused briefly. All of the reasons he had prepared in his mind were stuck. His voice was faint, magnetic, and raspy. "I thought you didn't want to see me anymore, so I came to find you."

Ivy was taken aback and snorted lightly before turning her face away to get some shuteye.

Wyatt's gaze was fixed on her. He wanted to say a thousand words but couldn't.

"Is there anything else you want, Ivy?"

He suddenly felt compelled to grant all of her little wishes.

Even if she asked for the stars in the sky, he would find a way to get them for her.

Ivy laughed. "All I want is for you to stay out of my life."

Wyatt's lips were taut for a moment before resuming his expression. He lowered his gaze slightly to hide the sadness and restraint that crossed his face.

Wyatt smiled again as if nothing had happened. His lips curled up in a shallow arc, but his face was gloomy.

"That can't be done. You should avoid thinking about it. Just pretend I didn't ask."

He then leaned back in his chair and closed his eyes to sleep.

Ivy rolled her eyes and snorted, then quietly closed her eyes.

Ivy finally had some peace after they arrived in New York. She went fishing and shopping without being bothered by the annoying Wyatt Reed!

The first episode of Vince's adventure variety show received a lot of praise and was very popular.

Flint also took advantage of this to land more deals and jobs. Brad Cooper was even asked to shoot some commercials.

Mirasol was the only one with a bad reputation, and she was trying to keep it quiet because so many netizens had chastised her.

Mirasol remained popular, which was seen as a blessing in disguise.

Countless people begged Mirasol to leave, but she knew that she would never be able to reclaim her reputation if she did.

As a result, Mirasol had no choice but to participate in the second episode.

Ivy went to the location of the shoot with extreme reluctance after receiving an invitation to the second episode.

Although she'd heard it wasn't as exhausting as the first episode, she guessed it wouldn't be easy.

Everyone else had already arrived when she arrived.

Vince went over to hug her and spin her around, but Ivy kicked him in the shin. He cried out in agony.

"You... You're so cruel!"

"Sorry, Vince, I didn't realize it was you!"

Lies!

Ivy laughed loudly. They were both so close anyway. She then kept a decent smile on her face and walked over to greet the others.
