The Billionaire’s Regret

Chapter 119 –

Brad gave her a casual wave.

Ivy wore casual clothes that were comfortable and straightforward and very light makeup. Even so, her brilliance and charm could not be hidden. She still had a noble and confident demeanor. Flint went over to hug and shake her hand politely.

Mirasol was dressed in a cocktail gown and looked stunning. She smiled cautiously and was much more attentive after what had happened the last time. "Long time no see, Ivy."

Ivy gave a polite smile. It was neither too hot nor too cold. She just stared strangely at Mirasol's outfit.

'This is a show about adventure. Why is she dressed as if she's going to walk down the red carpet? Is she under the impression that netizens are easily duped?'

On the other hand, Ivy kept her mouth shut because it was none of her business.

They were only here to participate in the show, not to form relationships.

The director briefed everyone and began the live broadcast as soon as they arrived.

Everyone was simply waiting for the director to complete his lengthy speech.

Vince, too, became irritated. Finally, someone whispered something into the director's ear.

The director sighed and coughed slightly in relief. "Everyone, our episode's title sponsor has changed. The program's copyright will also be transferred to the big boss."

In disbelief, Vince took a step forward. "What? How come I didn't know about this?"

Without Vince's knowledge, the investor he worked so hard to attract changed his mind.

Surprisingly, the new investor purchased the copyright as well?

Vince was the producer, but he had no idea what was going on!

The director chuckled. "Vince, you'll understand in a second. The surprise will be here soon!"

Everyone stood there in silence and awe as the director clapped his hands.

"Let us give a standing ovation to Mr. Wyatt Reed, our mysterious guest and the sole title sponsor of our program!"

The venue was filled with lone applause. Wyatt Reed walked out from behind the director, and everyone looked at him in silence. They then cast a glance at Mirasol, who was still clapping alone. The group wholly ignored Mirasol, and all eyes were on Wyatt.

Vince dashed over, flustered and perplexed. "How could this have happened? What brings my uncle here?"

Flint and Brad just stood there politely, unmoved. They didn't want to be involved in this awkward situation. Ivy only rolled her eyes behind her head.

'What the hell?!'

The netizens watching the live stream were immediately enraged when they saw this scene.

(OMG! Isn't this the most tedious and miserable welcome ceremony Mr. Reed has ever witnessed?)

(Didn't Mr. Reed come to support his nephew's career? They're such a wonderful family!)

(Crippled Mirasol, you phony little bitch. She's a real lickspittle! Is she not self-conscious?)

(Ivy is still the calmest, but I think she was disappointed that she wasn't the sole sponsor for this program first, huh?)

(This is going to be a juicy episode! No matter which two men and women are in the same frame, they are all embroiled in some sort of scandal. Yay!)

(Goddess Ivy, don't give up!)

Wyatt walked over, unconcerned about the awkwardness and artifice of the situation. His expression was gentle, despite the fact that his body exuded an unapproachable and unattainable aura. When Ken was backstage, he jeopardized his life by giving Wyatt some advice.

"Mr. President, you need to smile more in order to gain Ms. Morgan's favor. Otherwise, you risk becoming isolated."

'What a prank! I'm not worried about being alone. A herd is only for cattle and sheep. Tigers are always on their own! All I want is to be in Ivy's good graces, Wyatt reasoned.

Everyone's gaze was drawn to Wyatt. The director stated very grandly that Wyatt's visit was primarily to experience the innovative nature of this program.

Vince didn't believe it for a second. He was well aware that his uncle was being overbearing. His company survived after so much adversity, but it quickly became one of many in Wyatt's portfolio.

Even more irritating, Vince had to grit his teeth and force himself to thank his "benevolent" Uncle Wyatt! He felt as if his chest was so congested that he couldn't breathe.

The director grinned brightly and placed an opaque box in the center.

"We have six participants this time, two in each group. Those who draw the same color together will form a team."

When the director intervened, everyone was about to draw their cards.

"Mr. Reed is holding a choice card. Because he is our mystery guest this time, he has first dibs."

Wyatt stood there, tall and straight. His noble and powerful aura was unmistakable.

Mirasol, who was standing next to Ivy, looked at Wyatt with glee. She wished that he would choose her.

After all, far too few women could be linked to Wyatt Reed. Many people have inquired about Mirasol's relationship with Wyatt since the last time Wyatt presented her with the "Most Promising Newbie Award." Those who had previously dismissed Mirasol.

Mirasol's hearts were once again filled with hope.

On the other hand, Wyatt took a patient step forward and smiled at Ivy. The situation became clear in an instant.

Wyatt took a step up to shove the card in his hand into Ivy's, then grabbed her hand firmly.

"Ivy is my choice." His words rang out throughout the venue.

While the director urged the others to draw the cards, Ivy glared at him with displeasure.

Flint and Vince; Brad and Mirasol; Ivy and Wyatt are the final pairings.

Vince jumped up, relieved, and hugged Flint tightly, refusing to let go.

"Bro! At long last, we've been paired!" Vince was just grateful that he wasn't paired with Mirasol.

Brad's expression changed a few times, but he kept his cool and accepted the outcome like a gentleman.

Mirasol was dissatisfied with Brad because he was a nobody. Even ignoring Wyatt Reed, Brad's fame and status was inferior to Vince's.

As a result, if she were paired with Brad, she would be unable to generate additional buzz for herself.

On second thought, Ivy and Brad had received a lot of praise in the previous episode, so Mirasol decided she would just put up with it. Mirasol smiled and turned to face Brad. "Please look after me."

Brad nodded and smiled. "Of course, but your foot should have healed by now, right?"

Mirasol's brow furrowed. She simply smiled silently without responding.

This made the netizens watching the live stream laugh.

(Brad Cooper is such a straight-laced individual! Lol!)

(I assumed Mr. Reed had come here to see his nephew.)

(He's actually there to see Ivy! His motivation is simply too obvious.)

(Is it possible for a divorced couple to be friends? They're from the same social circle, so they should get along, right? They're just regular pals.)

(Vince's gleeful expression is so endearing! He is truly a source of joy for me!)

(It would have been ideal if they hadn't divorced. Wyatt Reed is without a doubt my first choice because he is such a stunning man! It's such a shame. Don't be a softie, President Ivy! Even if Wyatt Reed isn't available, the entire world's men are at your disposal!)
