Chapter Chapter Seven (Akasha)
After the Goblins left, the elf man turned to face me.
"I am Tyr. Did they hurt you?" he asked after he introduced himself.
I shook my head. "No, they didn't. I'm Akasha and these are my sisters, Ari, Huricana, Sunama and Gia." Each of them nodded as their names were spoken.
"It's nice to meet you all."
A man from the elf army walked towards me his dark brown hair was long and braided down his back, but the sides of his head were bald, he had the same high cheekbones and pointed chin that Tyr had but he had broader shoulders and was a few inches taller than Tyr his eyes were a pale blue that almost looked white. "This is General Moon." Tyr introduced him.
"Call me Frey," he smiled at my sisters and me.
"Why are you running from the Goblin army?" Tyr asked me.
What harm would it do to tell them who we were, after all, we're trying to get help from their king? "They burned down our village and we are the only ones that made it out. Or at least I think we are." I replied as Tyr made eye contact with me, causing me to blush under his scrutiny.
"So, they are chasing you just because you got away?" Frey asked, sounding doubtful.
"Mine as well, tell them." Gia shared as they turned to look at her.
I sighed, "They think we are the five sisters from the prophecy."
"You five tiny pixies?" a man from the army laughed as others joined in.
"Keep your cool." I thought to my hot-headed sisters, I needed them on our side.
When we didn't respond, they stopped laughing.
"You're being serious?" Frey asked, dumbfounded.
"Why are you heading this way?"
"We are gathering an army!" Huricana sang excitedly. I turned to glare at her as she bit her lip.
"We are reaching out to the pixies allies to ask for their army's aid against the goblins and their allies." I told them. "We need to speak with your King."
"You will have to convince the King of who you are, and it will not be easy." Tyr shared with a frown.
"We have no issue with that." I replied as Ari walked over to Frey and started a conversation with him.
"We will escort you back to the castle." Tyr announced as two men walked out from the treeline.
"The Goblins have left the area." The first man, who was an older man with a scar on the right side of his face, reported.
"Very well. These are my scouts Ezryn," the scared faced man nodded, "and Mohan," a slim but muscular man nodded."
I nodded and introduced my sisters again.
"We should get moving. We are still about a day away from the kingdom." Mohan informed.
I nodded as my sisters and I started to follow, hands resting on their sword hilts as we wearily watched them.
My sisters and I stuck together as we travelled.
"Hey Gia, why don't you make a crack in the ground?" Sunama snorted, teasing her as the others laughed.
"I'll make a crack in your face." She hissed, her eyes flickering from brown to green. As they laughed harder.
Tyr walked towards me, wondering what he wanted. I looked at him questioningly, "Are you sure you are sisters?" he questioned. "Positive, why?"
"You guys look nothing alike." he pointed out, looking at the five of us.
I shrugged, "Our physical traits are influenced by the elements we control." I smiled as I looked at my sisters bickering. We really didn't look alike.
Ari had black hair which was straight and fell to her lower back and intense green eyes that turned orange when she used her powers, her red peasant dress showed off the curves on her tall hourglass frame. The wing tattoos on her back were shades of oranges, yellows, and reds. A complete contrast to Huricana with her long dark blonde hair, pale green eyes which turned white when she used her power. Her purple peasant dress showed her slight frame. Her wing tattoos were on her back in shades of white, greys and blues.
Gia walked over to us, her honey brown eyes looking between us as if assessing something, her green peasant dress accentuating her curves as her long, red, curly hair bounced around her shoulders.
"Are we stopping soon, Sunama and Huricana might not show it, but they are getting tired." She asked Tyr.
I looked at Sunama. Her long brown hair was up in a messy bun, her blue eyes flickering turquois like it did when she was losing control of her power, her blue peasant dress was ripped and dirty. She looked pitiful. I stifled a laugh; the family princess was having a hard day. Her wing tattoos were various shades of blues and greys that shimmered like water.
"We will be stopping soon." Tyr answered her as Aris' raised voiced drew our attention, we turned to look at her. She was arguing with Huricana.
"I see. Do they fight like this often?" Tyr inquired.
"We all do. We are sisters, after-all, just because we are powerful doesn't mean we aren't relatable. Don't you fight with your siblings?"
He seemed to think about my question before shrugging and continuing to walk.
Families, a sore subject, I guess, I thought as I looked away.
"You shouldn't just sneak up on a person." Ari yelled, I looked to see her yelling at Frey and even though his arm looked singed, he was smiling at the fuming woman.
"What did you do?" I scolded her as I walked over to Frey and examined his arm. It wasn't a bad burn, I pulled some ointment from my bag and applied it to his arm. It's a good thing I keep medicines in my backpack in case of emergencies. "Don't worry, no harm done." He reassured me as his smile grew bigger and Ari glared at him.
Tyr shook his head and walked away, chuckling.
I turned to Ari, "You need to be careful; your powers could really hurt someone." I scolded her. "It was self defense." She defended in a huff.
Huricana walked up to Tyr, she looked young, but her eyes aged her. "So, you finally found her?" What the hell is she doing, that little shit disturber, I thought with a curse.
"Found who?" he asked, confused as she smiled.
"You know who." She winked as she skipped away.
"What the hell was that?" Ezryn asked as he walked over to him and watched the strange girl skipping.
"Who knows, but we should make camp, it will be dark soon and I have a feeling our guests won't share when they need a break." Although we already had. I smiled, silly elf, trying to make us seem tougher than we are. "Ok, I'll let the men know." Ezryn nodded as he walked away.
After finding a large clearing nearby, the men set up tents and started fires as sprites sprinted around gathering ingredients for supper.
