Chapter 700: We'll see what happens
"It hurts a little." Eloise frowned.
Eloise didn't look very well because she had pulled the wound again from talking.
After the anaesthetic wears off, it's all about the overwhelming pain.
The first few days she was asleep she didn't feel it, but when she woke up she started to suffer.
Seeing her frown, Rowson's heart ached and he couldn't bear to feel the pain in her place.
Eloise's eyes subconsciously looked behind Rowson.
When Rowson came in earlier, she thought she saw a familiar figure.
Is that him? Why doesn't he come in?
But then she dismissed the suspicion; Hector was still in the country, a hundred thousand miles away, so how could he be here?
Yes, he'd been hurt enough by her, how could he come back?
Sensing the sadness in her eyes, Rowson called to her in confusion, "Eloise?"
At the words, Eloise looked back and tugged at the corner of her mouth, "Well, what did you just say?"
Seeing the confusion in her eyes, Rowson didn't think much of it, just assumed she was slowed down by her injuries.
Patiently again, "When I came in today, Sweety had to come along, and said she hadn't seen Mummy for a long time and missed her especially. But this isn't a place Sweety can come in, after all, she's still a little kid and she'll always run into you."
A smile tugged at the corners of Eloise's mouth as she thought about her daughter's little milky voice.
"Is she okay? Is she good?"
At the mention of Sweety, Rowson's mouth turned up in a smile and he said warmly, "Very good, very well behaved, except he just keeps wanting to come and see you, so you must get well soon."
With Sweety's fleshy little face in front of her eyes, Eloise can't help but look away, her eyes taking on a wistful look.
She also misses Sweety so much.
Wanted to hug her and kiss her.
Go shopping with her and buy her nice clothes.
Unfortunately, she is now lying in a hospital bed.
Rowson saw the look on Eloise's face and guessed what was on her mind and said with relief, "You get well, Sweety you don't have to worry, I'll take care of her." Eloise nodded at his words.
When Rowson saw Eloise's dry and flaky lips, he took a cotton swab and dipped it in water and gently applied it to her lips.
The wound has not yet recovered and you cannot drink large amounts of water.
The atmosphere in the ward became warm for a moment and the two could clearly hear each other's breathing.
But outside the ward, Hector was extremely agitated.
He couldn't help but wonder how well she was recovering.
He could not wait to break down the door in front of him now, so that he could see Eloise as soon as it was not separated from him. But he doesn't have the right.
Rowson is now her fiancé, but what about him?
A man who is about to divorce her.
No one will be on his side.
But what did Rowson go in there and do, and why has it taken so long to get out?
Eloise...
At this point Hector's mind was so full of Eloise that he couldn't bring himself to pull back. Hector couldn't help but recoil at the thought of wheeling her into the operating theatre. If he had come any later, would his Eloise ...
He thought he could give up, but after this incident, he found that he still couldn't let go.
How can one brand someone into one's heart and remove her so easily?
He walked around anxiously outside the ward, glancing up at his wristwatch every now and then, counting the minutes for Rowson.
Jude Eloise had just woken up and wasn't in the best of spirits, and after a few words was a bit overwhelmed, her eyelids fighting up and down. What's more, having just woken up once, it wasted a lot of prana.
Now it's even harder to lift the slightest bit of energy.
Seeing her weakness, Rowson pulled the covers over her and said softly, "Go to sleep if you want."
After tucking in, Eloise closed her eyes and opened them again not long after.
Looking at Rowson in a trance, as if he didn't know him.
Surprised by the strange look in her eyes, Rowson said, "What is it? Is something wrong?"
Eloise pursed her lips and shook her head.
Thinking she was scared, he smiled and reassured her, "Don't be afraid, I'm always here with you, get well soon, Sweety and Mum are worried about you."
At these words, Eloise nodded and closed her eyes once more, falling into a deep sleep.
Rowson was silenced after hearing the sound of even breathing coming from her mouth.
Standing by the bedside, he watched Eloise for a long time more before getting up and going out.
As soon as he left the house, he ran into an anxious Hector.
Rowson wasn't going to pay any attention to him and tried to cross right over.
But Hector was one step quicker in stopping him.
"What the hell do you want to do?" Rowson was a little impatient.
Sensing his disgust, Hector asked patiently, "You went in to see her, how is she now? Is she any better?"
Hector's cold voice made Rowson frown; his attitude was not one of questioning, but of questioning a prisoner.
I say Mr Hector, Eloise was wounded like this by one of your men, and it's not easy to keep a life now. Can't you just get out of our lives? Why do you have to get mixed up with us?
I don't want to see any more harm come to her. I will take care of her as her husband, and I don't want you to covet our lives anymore."
Now that Eloise has finally made up her mind to marry him, Rowson can't afford to miss this opportunity.
No matter what, he had to get rid of the men around her.
Hector smiled coldly at that, "Yes, I didn't think it through a while ago and agreed to Eloise's request, but not anymore."
He paused and then spoke provocatively, "I will take care of Eloise myself, so there is no need to bother Mr. Fu."
A little provoked by his tone, but again there was little Rowson could do to him.
But Rowson didn't want to lose out to Hector in terms of face and returned the favour with equal provocation. "Then we'll see."
Although he is now Eloise's fiancé, he knows that in Eloise's heart, the man who has always been there is Hector.
The only reason Eloise was able to marry him was to repay the kindness she had received over the past three years. There is no love.
Seeing the mockery in Rowson's eyes, Hector snorted, "You always have to return stolen feelings, Mr. Rowson." Having 'kindly' warned Rowson, Hector turned straight away.
Not willing to bother with him any more.
Today the JS Group is on the rise and cannot be influenced by any outside opinion.
But there is no such thing as a leak, and somehow someone leaked the story that Marian was left to fend for herself in the wilderness after her courtship with Hector failed. There was a lot of fear in the group.
Thomas knew the importance of the matter, but every time he wanted to report the news, someone always appeared to interrupt.
