The Elemental Sisters: Spirit

Chapter Chapter Eighteen (Akasha)

I sat up in bed grabbing my head in pain as another vision took over, my vision faltering before I am back in the room with King Churd and Colonel Delano, they tied me to a chair in front of them as they talked to each other.

"She will tell us how to open the gate to the human realm." King Churd told his colonel.

The human realm? I don't even know where the key is for it; I knew it was a person, but I didn't know which person. My sisters and I were supposed to protect the key, only no one ever said where to find it.

They seemed to argue about something, listening to their words as they turned on me. "Maybe she is the key." King Churd shared, staring daggers at me.

"She isn't the key. She is the protector." Prince Rehan interrupted as he walked down the stairs towards me, stopping in front of me, he kneeled down and looked at me, "And you are going to tell me where it is." He smiled. "Over my dead body." I spat at him as he moved his hand towards my face, his goblin claws lengthening to razor sharp points.

"That could be arranged," he sneered as his claw slid down the side of my face, causing blood to fall down my cheek.

"Hurt me and she won't forgive you." I retorted as Prince Rehan frowned and King Churd came forward, throwing Prince Rehan away from me.

"I love our brief visits," he sneered.

"What do you mean, visits?" I asked him, confused. "This is a vision."

"Is it?" he asked with a grin, "Or am I manipulating your ability and turning it against you?" he added as his eyes changed to black and I closed mine, waiting for the burning feeling I knew was coming. Heat covered me as the smell of burning flesh met my nose, and everything went black.

Something cold hit me and I opened my eyes not seeing anything, "you were on fire!" Sunama sobbed as someone grabbed my hand, I could hear footsteps surrounding me as people rushed into the room. Feeling something on my face, I reached up and wiped at it.

"Someone grabbed my shoulders, then I heard Ari yell, "What did you see?"

"Hmmm," I asked, feeling light-headed. Forcing myself to focus on her voice instead of the splitting headache that was forming.

"Why is she getting so many visions so close together?" Gia asked as she wiped my cheek, clearing away the water. "You don't usually get injured from them, it's so bizarre."

"I'm not injured." I told her. As the taste of blood entered my mouth. I raised my hand and wiped it away, unable to see.

"Your nose is bleeding, and you have a cut down your face," Gia scolded, as she wiped my face and applied an ointment that smelled strongly of herbs to the cut.

"The visions keep coming, the visions will stay, until they are heard the proper way. You will feel the pain that they seek you to gain." Huricana sang happily. "So, I'll be getting more of them?" I frowned.

"She is not going to answer right now, you know how she gets." Ari informed.

"What's going on?" I heard Tyr come in the room with footsteps sounding behind him.

I groaned and pushed my sister's hand away, covering my head with my soaking wet blanket, I didn't want him to see me as some pathetic and weak person. "I don't think you are weak." He thought into my head, but I ignored him.

"Akasha had another vision." Gia informed him.

"Why are you guys all here?" Ari asked.

"I heard screaming from down the hall." Tyr informed her.

"Nobody was screaming." Ari shared.

"I can read minds." Tyr shared.

"You what?"

"I heard Akasha scream in my head."

"How much do you hear?" Ari asked, a little panicked.

"Why worried what he'll see in your head about me?" I heard Frey tease, before I heard a slap and him saying "ow."

"Usually, bits and pieces, but with Akasha, I hear more for some reason. " He said to her. "I also saw your vision." He thought to me.

"Great, now you get to see me at my worst." I frowned as I thought it back to him. With a grimace.

"Must be love." Sunama snorted with a laugh.

"You'll pay for that." I thought to her, wincing as my headache spiked.

"Sorry." She murmured.

"Can you guys please shut it?" I asked.

"Let's let her rest." I heard Gia announce as footsteps left the room.

Believing I was alone, I took the blanket off my face as tears streamed down my cheeks, my head had never felt this bad before.

"Does it hurt?" Tyr asked as I nearly jumped out of my skin, he chuckled, "Sorry."

"My head hurts a lot, yeah."

I felt a cloth touch my face, where Prince Rehan had clawed it in my dream. I wonder who would be angry at me if he hurt me. It was an odd thing to say. "Not your head. You have a cut down the side of your face and your nose is bleeding."

"I don't feel it." I lied as I laid down.

"You can lie all you want i know what you are, thinking remember." He reminded me as he sat down beside me.

"Sorry."

"This is not going to work, get up."

"What do you mean get up, I want to sleep?"

You are soaked, and your bed is soaked. Let's get it changed then sleep.

"No, I don't care. I want to sleep." I bit out grumpily, trying to get comfortable.

He ripped the blankets off me, and I remembered I wasn't wearing anything. I grabbed for where I thought the blanket was. "Hey, I need that." I yelled at him, grabbing air.

"No, you need a dry bed...." He cleared his throat, "sorry I didn't know you weren't clothed." His voice sounding a bit off. I felt a dry blanket drape over me before he picked me up. "Hey what are you doing?"

"Would you just cooperate?" He scolded me as I wiggled when he carried me out of the room, I buried my face in his chest, embarrassed.

"What are you doing?" Ari laughed, amused.

"Her bed is soaked, and I am assuming Huricana can't dry it right now."

I heard singing from another room and incoherent ramblings.

"You would assume correctly." Ari stated matter of fact.

"Put her in here." Gia offered, and he moved into whatever room she had mentioned. I thought he was going to put me down, but he sat down while still holding me. I wiggled, trying to get comfortable. "Please don't move around so much," he bit out as I felt his body react.

"You could put me down." I scolded, still not comfortable, and feeling vulnerable without my clothes. He could have at least let me get dressed.

"Don't want to, and I thought you wanted to sleep." He accused as he moved me, so I was leaning against his chest, my legs draped over his legs.

Someone entered the room, "here." Gia said, and I felt a cold cloth cover my forehead and eyes and I sighed at the welcomed cold.

"Hopefully this will pass soon, we need to train before tomorrow." I murmured sleepily as a blanket covered me and the sound of Tyr's heartbeat lulled me to sleep.
